Day 3
Take a guided tour of the Rijksmuseum where you will see the
Nightwatch by Rembrandt and other paintings by famous Dutch
artists like Vermeer and Hals. Enjoy the rest of the day exploring on
your own. Overnight in Amsterdam. (B)

Day 1
After arriving at Amsterdam Schiphol Airport you will travel to
Zaanse Schans a small community on the banks of the River Zaan.
There used to be 700 windmills here at the turn of the 18th
Century. Tour the area, visit one of the remaining windmills and
enjoy lunch in the area. Dinner and overnight in Amsterdam. (L/D)
Day 2
Enjoy a guided walking tour of the canal city of Amsterdam!
Amsterdam is the capital of the Netherlands and was founded in
the Middle Ages. You will see the most important sights, have a
boat tour through the famous canals, enjoy a typical Dutch lunch
and tour the Van Gogh Museum. In the evening you will enjoy a
planned dinner and attend the WSO Concert at the Royal
Concertgebouw. Dinner and overnight in Amsterdam. (B/L/D)
Day 4
Experience some of the rural villages to the east of Amsterdam.
Travel through polder land, explore Giethoorn and enjoy lunch,
take a whisper boat ride and travel to Staphorst. In Staphorst you
will be welcomed at the Museum Staphorst with coffee or tea and
a local treat, then take a guided tour of the museum followed by a
guided tour of the village. Dinner and overnight in Apeldoorn. (B/L/
D)
Day 6
In the morning, take a guided tour of the Cheese Market in
Alkmaar. Witness the Cheese Carriers Guilds at work as they carry
cheese on traditional carriers between the seller, weigher and
buyer, buy Dutch cheese and visit the Cheese Museum. In the
afternoon take the ferry from Marken to the fishing village of
Volendam. Tour the Eel Smokehouse, explore the harbor and visit
local shops. Dinner and overnight in Amsterdam. (B/D)
Day 5
Visit the old Hanseatic City of Deventer where you will be
welcomed with ‘Deventer Koek’, a local spice cake made in the city
since 1593. Enjoy a guided walking tour of the city. In the afternoon
travel to National Park "De Hoge Veluwe" where you will have a
guided tour of the Kröller Müller Museum located in the park. The
museum houses contemporary and impressionist works as well as a
sculpture garden. If time allows you can have a stroll in the park.
Dinner and overnight in Apeldoorn. (B/D)
Day 7
Free day to explore Amsterdam on your own. Your tour escort is
available for recommendations or you take you out for a walk.

Day 8
Coach transfer to Amsterdam International Airport for your return
home.

Day 1
After arriving at Amsterdam Schiphol Airport you will travel to the
Keukenhof, the largest flower park in the world. Stroll through the
gardens, view the plantings in the exhibition halls and walk up the
windmill for a magnificent view. In the afternoon you will travel to
Rotterdam. Dinner and overnight in Rotterdam area. (D)
Day 2
Enjoy a guided walking tour of Rotterdam. You will see some of the
buildings that have escaped the bombing of WWII and also
modern architecture like the Markthal and the Cube houses.
Afterwards you will explore Rotterdam by boat with lunch included
on board. In the evening attend the WSO Concert in Rotterdam at
de Doelen Concert Hall. Overnight in Rotterdam. (B/L)

Day 3
In the morning you depart for Belgium. Before arriving in Antwerp
you will visit Fortress Breendonk Memorial Belgium, one of the
best conserved concentration camps in Europe. In the afternoon
enjoy a guided walking tour of Antwerp where you will see sites
such as the Cathedral of Our Lady and the Palace at the Meir.
Dinner and overnight in Antwerp. (B/D)
Day 4
Travel to Ypres in Southwest Belgium to learn more about WWI.
Get to know the history of battles in this area during a visit of the
Flanders Field Museum and Tyne Cot Cemetery. You will then visit
the Brooding Soldier Memorial. Travel back to Antwerp to attend
the WSO Concert in Antwerp. Overnight in Antwerp. (B)
Day 5
Today you travel to Vimy Ridge to visit the site and Education
Centre. See artifacts, photos and films on Canada’s involvement in
WWI. In the afternoon travel to the Ring of Remembrance
Memorial then continue to Amiens. Overnight in Amiens. (B)
Day 7
Take a guided tour of several important D-Day sites starting with a
visit of Beny-sur-Mer Canadian Military Cemetery. Afterwards tour
D-Day Landing Beaches, Longues-sur-Mer Gun Battery and the Juno
Beach Centre. In the afternoon depart for Paris. Dinner and
overnight in Paris. (B/D)
Day 8
Take a guided picturesque coach tour of Paris seeing all the major
sights. Then go underground to visit the Paris Catacombs where
human remains were “stored” in the 18th Century. Afterwards take
a guided tour of the Louvre Museum, home of the Mona Lisa. In
the evening take a river cruise on the Seine River for your farewell
dinner. Overnight in Paris. (B/D)
Day 9
Coach transfer to Paris Charles de Gaulle International Airport for
your flight home. (B)

Day 6
Depart for Dieppe the site of Operation Jubilee which is now known
as the Dieppe Raid. You will see several memorials and tributes for
the Operation before heading to Normandy. In Normandy, visit
Café Gondrée and the Pegasus Bridge. Travel onwards to Canada
House, one of the most iconic buildings in Canadian Military
history. Dinner and overnight in the Caen area. (B/D)
