The Workforce Investment Act/WIOA

WIA, reforms the federal job training programs and creates a new comprehensive workforce investment system. The reformed system is intended to be customer-focused, to help Americans access the tools they need to manage their careers through information and high quality services, and to help U.S. companies find skilled workers.Program Types and Requirements: Youth(17-21), Adult(22+), and D/W$8,500 14,500

▪ WorkKeys: A job skills assessment system measuring “real-world” skills that employers believe are critical to job success.

There are nine foundational skill assessments, and individuals can earn the National Career Readiness Certificate by taking three assessments:
