The ParcelCab service is a zero emmisions, autonomous London Taxi with an integrated courier service. This was my final year

project to complete my degree.

The exterior design aimed to show traces of the iconic look, while integrating a new service from LTI (London Taxi International).

The final design combines classic taxi traits with a fresh new details which add to the new service. The innovative interior,designed to fully optimise space, justifies the forwad facing windscreen. the taxi is also equipped with sections for efficient courier use.

The interior will provide the maximum comfort and shield the user from busy environment of the city. It presents a simple and user friendly layout, emilinating the need for driver to assistance. The materials and general layout are inspired by nature, the automotive design and architecture.

The final design combines all of the initial ideas to create a large open interior with an easy to use interfaces. Large amounts of light pour in from the left side of the car to create a comfortable and natural light level.

A key feature of the interior is the payment system. If hailed on the side of the street using motion recognition technology, the taxi will travel only while a bank card is placed in the card slot. Users can also pick their destination and perform other tasks using the touch screens provided.

When used for the courier service, loading involves a platform rising to make placing the packages easier.

To travel to the point of delivery the bonnet closes shut and the platform drops down.

As the taxi approaches the destination a section of the bonnet rises revealing a drone. The container with the package separates and is taken away.

This clay sculpture was my introduction to clay modelling. My understanding of clay quickly developed through trial and error to produce complicated and challenging shapes.

The Jaguar XC is just a small project to present what a production Jaguar hatchback would look like. It captures the essence of Jaguar design language.

21The Rosewood Eclissi was a live project for a client (Rosewood Select)that came to the university looking for inspirational designs. The task was to design a new body on a Ferrari 308 with a potential new interior.

The following project is a request from a Formula E representative. The task was to designs a small two seat open top vehicle to be displayed at the motor shows as a demonstration of the capabilities of electric vehicles. This was a group project and the following are my proposals.

The client’s preferences went towards the following designs by Mika Karjalainen (Mika’s sketches shown). The concept is an electric sports quad bike for track days and demonstrations. The vehicle also comes with a bike suit.

As a collaborative roject, all members were equally involved in the design, however my work can be seen in the helmet interface and all final renders shown below. To achieve the final designs, I used a variety of tools including Alias for the initial 3D model.

The main body rests on a platform and pivots in the corners so the driver is pressed into the vehicle for extra protection.

In drive mode handles appear and are used for steering. Underneath the fabric are leg rest for the added security and comfort for the rider.

The suit is designed to allow the rider to fit onto the vehicle in a more secure way. It also improves the aerodynamics for less drag. A head up display with augmented reality is displayed in the visor of the helmet.
