Its focus is to develop services and initiatives in priority sectors related to climate change and facilitate market access. As part of the EU Global Europe strategy, EBTC should contribute to the competitiveness of the European economy. EBTC has been established by EUROCHAMBRES and a consortium of 16 partner organisations, including Chambers of Commerce and leading European research groups. EBTC is co-financed by the European Commission on the basis of a 5-year grant contract. EBTC has an office in central Delhi; 3 additional offices and 2 antennae are to be established throughout India in the coming year. Activities are developed through annual work plans, established by the consortium partners and the European Commission. EBTC operates in full complementarity with existing service providers (bilateral Chambers, trade promotion offices) and with Indian counterparts from the business and research community. EBTC Director EUROCHAMBRES is currently recruiting a new Director for the EBTC programme, to be based in Delhi (India). The EBTC Director is managing and coordinating the entire programme in India. More specifically, he/she should: Represent EBTC towards external stakeholders in India and develop cooperation within the scope of EBTC Create visibility for the programme Coordinate the smooth implementation of the EBTC annual work plans and develop flagship activities, in line with EU policies and priorities. Manage the EBTC central office and set up 3 regional offices and 2 antennae throughout India Maintain close relations with key partners, including the EC Delegation in Delhi and EUROCHAMBRES Brussels. Develop a permanent legal basis for EBTC India

The EBTC Director is a post with high visibility, operating in a complex environment. He/she should therefore have the following technical skills:

• Very familiar with the Indian economy and experience in market access for European companies

• Good knowledge of technology and innovation in areas related to climate change (energy, environment, etc.)

• Familiar with EU policies and procedures Moreover, the successful candidate will have the following personal skills:

• Excellent communication skills: frequent public speaking and representation; • Excellent coordination skills: managing multiple partners in Europe and in

India; • Excellent project management skills: designing and implementing annual work

plans, budget control in line with EU procedures; • Excellent people management: managing a team of 7 in Delhi, and 5 smaller

office across India. Conditions

• EUROCHAMBRES offers a consultancy contract, linked to the duration of the programme (5 years), with appropriate remuneration.

• Position to be filled as soon as possible • Based in Delhi (India), with regular travel within India and occasional travel to
