Once I saw the pictures of campus I knew I wanted to come to JMU.

The academics here are awesome. The professors are always trying

to help you do your best and be your best. I originally had

plans to transfer to California, but once I stepped foot

onto the campus I knew I was a Duke for life.

This pathway differs from the Engineering pathway

in the science courses offered: general physics and

biology are taken instead of the calculus-based

physics courses in engineering. The STM pathway

provides the necessary foundation to advance to

degrees in science, technology, and mathematics.

JMU is the rst university to acquire Science on a Sphere

(SOS) a sphere-shaped, visualization tool that was

developed by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric

Administration (NOAA). SOS uses four projectors to

project onto the surface of a six-foot diameter sphere

and is used for research, education and outreach.
