He attended Temple University School of Medicine and did his residency at the Franklin Square Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. He was one of the founders of Dover Family Physicians in 1983, and more recently started practicing at a new family practice, Family Medicine of Smyrna-Clayton.

Jerome Abrams: Family Medicine

Jerome Abrams has been in the private practice of medicine since 1983, when he was one of the founding partners of Dover Family Physicians. The practice offered the full scope of family medicine, and he stayed with the practice for thirty years. During that time he was also on the medical staff at the Bayhealth Medical Center, and for four years was the Physician Advisor at Executive Health Resources in Newtown Square, Pennsylvania. He recently started practicing at, Family Medicine at Smyrna-Clayton.

Jerome Abrams: Racquetball Enthusiast

As an experienced physician, Dr Jerry Abrams knows the importance of getting a good workout, both for its cardiovascular benefits, for good muscle and skeletal health, and for the simple fun of recreation. One of his favorite activities for this is playing racquetball. One of the attractive things about racquetball is that since it is played on an enclosed court and usually indoors, it is an activity that can be pursued year-round.

Jerome Abrams: Community Involvement

Dr Jerry Abrams has a long history of community involvement. He has been involved with the Dover Children's Theatre as a lighting director for more than ten years, and spearheaded the building of a community playground called Picadilly Castle in Dover. He has also been a volunteer and Board member of the Dover Interfaith Mission for Housing, a men's homeless shelter.
