The Age of Sel shnessAyn Rand, Morality, and the Financial CrisisDarryl CunninghamIntroduction by Michael Goodwin
Tracing the emergence of Ayn Rands philosophy of objectivism in the 1940s to her present-day in uence, Darryl Cunninghams latest work leads readers to the heart of the global nancial crisis of 2008. Cunningham, author of How to Fake a Moon Landing, uses Rands biography to illuminate the policies that led to the economic crash, and how her philosophy continues to a ect todays politics and policy. Tackling the complexities of economics by distilling them down to a series of concepts accessible to all age groups, Cunningham ultimately delivers a devastating analysis of our current economic world.

Only Whats NecessaryCharles M. Schulz and the Art of Peanuts
Text, art direction, and design by Chip KiddPhotograhy by Geoff SpearIntroduction by Jeff KinneyAdditional text by Jean Schulz, Karen Johnson, and Paige Braddock
Charles M. Schulz (19222000) believed that the key to cartooning was to take out the extraneous details and leave in only whats necessary. For y years, from October 2, 1950, to February 13, 2000, Schulz wrote and illustrated Peanuts, the single most popular and in uential comic strip in the world. In all, 17,897 strips were published, making it arguably the longest story ever told by one human being, according to Robert Thompson, professor of popular culture at Syracuse University. For Only Whats Necessary, renowned designer Chip Kidd was granted unprecedented access to the extraordinary archives of the Charles M. Schulz Museum and Research Center in Santa Rosa, California. Reproduced here are the best of the Peanuts newspaper strip, all shot from the original art by award-winning photographer Geo Spear.450 color illustrations 304 pages

Will EisnerChampion of the Graphic Novel Paul LevitzIntroduction by Brad Meltzer
Will Eisner (19172005) is universally considered the master of comics storytelling, best known for The Spirit, his iconic newspaper comic strip, and A Contract with God, the rst signi cant graphic novel. This seminal work ushered in a new era of personal stories in comics form that touched on adult topics from mortality to religion and sexuality, forever changing the way creators approached comics storytelling. Eisner went on to write and illustrate over twenty graphic novels, each pushing the boundaries of what comics could achieve. In this new monograph, noted historian and former president and publisher of DC Comics Paul Levitz celebrates Eisner by showcasing his most famous work alongside unpublished and rare materials from the family archives. Also included are original interviews with creators Jules Fei er, Art Spiegelman, Sco McCloud, Je Smith, Neil Gaiman, and more. 200 color illustrations 224 pages
