Assalamu'alaikum, Wr. Wb. Dengan terbitnya buku "Jepara Dalam Angka Tahun 2011" kali ini, adalah merupakan adanya suatu usaha yang baik dan teratur. Dalam publikasi ini disajikan data yang amat bermanfaat bukan hanya untuk Pemerintah Kabupaten, namun juga bagi perencana dan pengambil keputusan ataupun bagi para konsumen data yang lain. Kita maklumi dan kita sadari bersama, bahwa data statistik sangat besar peranannya dalam pembangunan mulai dari awal proses perencanaan, pengendalian, tahapan pelaksanaan dan sekaligus merupakan evaluasi dari hasil-hasil pembangunan yang telah dilaksanakan. Untuk menyusun suatu perencanaan di berbagai bidang/sektor, agar berhasil dengan baik perlu tersedia data statistik yang lengkap dan benar. Oleh karena itu upaya penerbitan buku "Jepara Dalam Angka" oleh Badan Pusat Statistik Kabupaten Jepara, wajib kita bantu dan kita dukung sesuai bidang / kemampuan kita masing-masing dengan memberikan data-data yang benar dan tepat waktu, baik mengenai kuantitas maupun kualitasnya. Dengan tersedianya data statistik dalam publikasi tersebut, diharapkan akan dapat memberikan sumbangan dalam memecahkan persoalan terutama bagi para perencana dan pengambil keputusan. PREFACE OF JEPARA REGENT Assalamu'alaikum, Wr. Wb. In accordance with the publishing of the book Jepara in Figures 2011, it represents the existing of the good and regular efforts. In this publication, the data which are presented are very useful not only for the Regency Government, but also for the Planners and the decision Makers as well as for the other data consumers. We realized that the statistical data have the big role for the development, from the beginning of the planning process, the controlling, the phase of implementation and it is very useful for the evaluation of the development results which have been carried out. In relation with preparing the planning of various fields and sectors, in order to be successful, it is necessary to provide the complete and correct statistical data. Therefore the efforts of the publishing the book Jepara in Figures by Central Board of Statistics, Jepara Regency, must be helped and supported by us and must be conformed with each of our fields and abilities by giving the correct and punctual data, the quantities as well as the qualities. The availability of the statistical data in this publication, we hope that it can give the contribution to solve the problem, especially for the planners and the decision makers. Data yang disajikan sebagian merupakan data primer Badan Pusat Statistik Kabupaten Jepara, sedang lainnya merupakan data sekunder yang dikumpulkan dari berbagai pihak, baik dari Instansi/Dinas maupun Perusahaan-perusahaan serta Lembaga-lembaga Swasta dalam wilayah Kabupaten Jepara. Kami sadari sepenuhnya, data yang berhasil kami sajikan dalam buku ini, masih belum dapat memenuhi kebutuhan bagi para konsumen data yang begitu banyak corak ragamnya, namun demikian kami harapkan dengan tersedianya data ini akan dapat membantu para perencana dan pengambil keputusan. PREFACE As a matter of course which occurred some years ago, the book of JEPARA IN FIGURE was successful to be published. This publication contains some data of 2010, but publishes in the year of 2011. Some of the data which were presented are the primary data of Central Board of Statistics of Jepara Regency, while the others are secondary data which were collected from the various parties, such as the offices / services as well as the companies, also the non-government institutions in the region of Jepara Regency. We realized heartily that the data in this book can not fulfill the needs of various data consumers, but we hope that the availability of the data will be able to help the planners and the decision-makers. BRIEF HISTORY OF JEPARA

SEJARAH SINGKAT JEPARA Brief History of Jepara

Nama Jepara berasal dari perkataan Ujung Para, Ujung Mara dan Jumpara yang kemudian menjadi Jepara, yang berarti sebuah tempat pemukiman para pedagang yang berniaga ke berbagai daerah. Menurut buku Sejarah Baru Dinasti Tang (618-906 M) mencatat bahwa pada tahun 674 M seorang musafir Tiong-hoa bernama Yi-Tsing pernah mengunjungi negeri Holing atau Kaling atau Kalingga yang juga disebut Jawa atau Japa, dan diyakini berlokasi di Keling, kawasan Jepara sekarang ini, serta dipimpin oleh seorang raja wanita bernama Sima atau Ratu Shima yang dikenal sangat tegas dan keras dalam memimpin rakyatnya. Namun menurut seorang penulis Portugis bernama Tome Pires dalam bukunya Suma Oriental, Jepara baru dikenal pada abad ke-XV (1470 M) sebagai bandar perdagangan yang kecil yang baru dihuni oleh 90-100 orang dan dipimpin oleh Aryo Timur dan

Named of Jepara comes from a word originally Tip of Mara, then Jumpara and last becomes Jepara. Jepara means a merchants settlement, which trades to all over area. According to book " New History of Tang Dynasty (618-906 M)" noting that, in the year 674 M, a man so called YiTsing have visited Ho-Ling country or Kaling or Kalingga, which is also referred as Java or Japa. It is believed that the location is at Keling, in Jepara area this time. A woman so called Queen Shima leads this country. Queen Shima is very consistent and strict in leading its people.

But according to a man so called Tome Pires (a Portuguese writer), he wrote in its book " Suma Oriental", Jepara is just recognized by at 15 century (1470 M), as a small commerce port, which is just dwelt by 90-100 people and led by Aryo Timur. This reside is under governance of Demak.

berada dibawah pemerintahan Demak. Kemudian Aryo Timur digantikan oleh putranya yang bernama Pati Unus (1507-1521). Pati Unus mencoba untuk membangun Jepara menjadi daerah/ kota niaga. Pati Unus dikenal sangat gigih melawan penjajahan Portugis di Malaka yang menjadi mata rantai perdagangan nusantara. Setelah Pati Unus wafat digantikan oleh ipar Falatehan yang berkuasa (15211536). Kemudian pada tahun 1536 oleh penguasa Demak yaitu Sultan Trenggono, Jepara diserahkan kepada menantunya yaitu Pangeran Hadiri suami dari Ratu Retno Kencono, namun pada tahun 1549 Pangeran Hadiri dibunuh oleh Aryo Penangsang akibat perebutan kekuasaan di kerajaan Demak setelah wafatnya Sultan Trenggono. Kematian orang-orang yang dikasihi membuat Ratu Retno Kencono sangat berduka dan meninggalkan kehidupan istana untuk bertapa di bukit Danaraja. Setelah terbunuhnya Aryo Penangsang oleh Sutowijoyo, Ratu Retno Kencono turun dari pertapaan dan dilantik menjadi penguasaxxxviii2011

Later Aryo Timur was replaced by his successor, so called Pati Unus (15071521 M). Pati Unus tried to develop Jepara as a commerce region/city.

Pati Unus is known as very persistent king, who fought against Portuguese colonization in Malaka (as Nusantara commerce link). After Pati Unus passed away, Falatehan (his brother in-laws) was replaced him as a King (1521-1536). Then in the year 1536, Sultan Trenggono (king of Demak) delivered Jepara kingdom to his son in law, that is Prince Hadiri, the husband of Queen Retno Kencono. But in the year 1549, Aryo Penangsang in effect of coup murdered Prince Hadiri in Demak Empire, just after Sultan Trenggono passed away.

After killing of Aryo Penangsang by Sutowijoyo, Queen Retno Kencono was getting off from seclusion and constituted to become Jepara Queen with title " NIMAS RATU KALINYAMAT". Jepara dengan gelar NIMAS RATU KALINYAMAT. Pada masa pemerin-tahan Ratu Kalinyamat (1549-1579), Jepara berkembang pesat menjadi bandar niaga utama di pulau Jawa dan menjadi pangkalan Angkatan Laut. Ratu Kalinyamat dikenal mempunyai jiwa patriotisme anti penjajahan, hal ini dibuktikan dengan pengiriman kapal perangnya ke Malaka untuk menggempur Portugis pada tahun 1551 dan 1574. Dan oleh orang Portugis dijuluki RAINHA DE JEPARA atau SENORA DE RICA yang artinya Raja Jepara seorang yang sangat berkuasa dan kaya raya. Selain itu Ratu Kalinyamat juga berjasa dalam membudayakan Seni Ukir yang sekarang jadi andalan utama ekonomi Jepara, yaitu perpaduan Seni Ukir Majapahit dengan Seni Ukir Patih Bandar duwung yang berasal dari Negeri Cina. Mengacu pada semua aspek positif yang telah dibuktikan oleh Ratu Kalinyamat sehingga Jepara menjadi negeri yang makmur, kuat dan mashur, maka penetapan Hari Jadi Jepara mengambil waktu beliau dinobatkan sebagai penguasa Jepara,Jepara in Figures 2011

1. Letak GeografisJepara sebagai salah satu kabupaten di Jawa Tengah terletak pada 543`20,67 sampai 647` 25,83 Lintang Selatan dan 1109`48,02 sampai 11058` 37,40 Bujur Timur. Sebelah Barat dan Utara berbatasan dengan Laut Jawa, sebelah Timur berbatasan dengan Kabupaten Kudus dan Pati dan sebelah Selatan berbatasan dengan Kabupaten Demak. Jarak terdekat dari ibukota kabupaten adalah Kecamatan Tahunan yaitu 7 km dan jarak terjauh adalah Kecamatan Karimunjawa yaitu 90 km.

1. Geographical locationJepara, one of the 35 regencies in Jawa Tengah Province, is located between 543`20,67 and 647`25, 83 south latitude between 1109`48, 02 and 11058`37, 40 east longitude. This region is surrounded by sea of Java at Westside and northside. The eastside part is bounded by the Regency of Kudus and Pati, and at to Southside part is bounded by The Regency of Demak. The closest distance to the capital city of regency is the District of Tahunan, that is about 7 Km away, but the farthest distance is the District of Karimunjawa, that is about 90 km away. The elevation range of this region is from about 0 m above the sea level up to 1.301 m.

2. Luas Penggunaan LahanLuas wilayah Kabupaten Jepara tercatat 100.413,189 ha. Kecamatan yang terluas adalah Keling yaitu 12.311,588 ha dan kecamatan yang terkecil adalah Kalinyamatan 2.370,001 ha. Sedangkan menurut penggunaannya : tanah sawah 26.408,009 ha dan tanah kering 74.005,185 ha.

2. Land area utilizedThe regency area of Jepara is recorded about 100.413,189 ha. The vast district area recorded is of district of Keling, that is about 23.175,804 ha, on the country the smallest district area is district of Kalinyamatan, that is about 2.369,834 ha. According to its utilization, wet land area covered about 26.291,056 ha, but dry land area covered about 74.122,133 ha.

1. Wilayah AdministrasiKabupaten Jepara terbagi atas 16 kecamatan, 183 desa dan 11 kelurahan, serta 1.009 RW dan 4.614 RT. Menurut klasifikasinya baik kelurahan maupun desa di Kabupaten Jepara termasuk swasembada.

1. Administrative RegionRegency of Jepara breaks down into 16 districts, 183 Villages, 11 kelurahan, 1.009 Community associations and 4.614 Neighborhood associations All of Villages and Kelurahan classifies as Prepared villages.

2. LegislatifBanyaknya anggota DPRD Kabupaten Jepara tahun 2010 adalah 50 orang, terbagi dalam beberapa Komisi antara lain, Komisi A 12 orang, Komisi B 12 orang, Komisi C 13 orang dan Komisi D 13 orang. Selama tahun 2010 banyaknya pro-duk legislatif DPRD atau banyaknya keputusan yang dibuat dan dikeluarkan oleh DPRD Kabupaten Jepara adalah 165 keputusan.

2. LegislativesThe numbers of Jepara legislative of years 2010 members are 50 persons. It is divided by 4 commissions, A (12 persons), B (12 persons), C (13 persons) and D (13 persons) namely. In the 2010, there are 165 acts / decrees issued by Jepara house of representatives.

PertanahanSelama tahun 2010 BPN Kabu-paten Jepara berhasil menerbitkan peralihan hak atas tanah 6.542 sertifikat, yang sebagian besar adalah hak milik 6.368 sertifikat, sedangkan HGB 128 sertifikat dan hak pakai 36 sertifikat. Tahun 2010 ini lebih banyak dibandingkan dengan tahun 2009 yang berjumlah 5.862 sertifikat.

3. Land AffairIn 2010, the Board of National Land Registration was issued about 6.542 certificates of land right mutation. Most of them are property rights (6.368 certificates), and then occupied building permit (128 certificates) and utilized permit (36 certificates). This year, the certificates issued are more than that of 2009 (about 5.862 certificates).

4. Catatan SipilBanyaknya akte kelahiran yang dikeluarkan melalui Catatan Sipil pada tahun 2010 yaitu 56.899 buah, lebih banyak bila dibandingkan dengan tahun 2009 yaitu 42.815 buah. Sedangkan akte kematian yang dikeluarkan yaitu 20 (kejadian). Ini lebih banyak bila dibandingkan dengan tahun 2009 yang berjumlah 19 akte (kejadian).

4. Civil RegistrationThe number of birth certificates issued by the Civil Registration is about 56.899 certificates. This year, the birth certificates issued is more than that of the year before (42.815 certificates). Otherwise, the number of mortality recorded is only 20 occurrences. This year, the mortality record is more than that of the year before.
