2. What is the ease of ‘choicing’ and open enrolling for Jeffco Families? (survey OE & focus group)

a) Is it easy enough to apply to choice options? (focus groups)

b) Do families have sufficient information about schools and the choice? (survey)

Reasons for Selecting

School

“XYZ high school is a great school with a strong

reputation. I went to the showcase night and was

very impressed with all of the teachers and

administrators so decided not to look anywhere else.

It was a great choice!” “We selected our

neighborhood high school because we

feel that the sense of community that it

fosters is important for our child.”

“In the end, we decided that being able to walk to

school and being engaged in our physical community

were more important than test scores or any other

selection criteria. We are very happy with our

neighborhood school and have become involved

there.” “Excellent teachers and administrators

who are friendly, well-organized, make

learning fun, maintain firm discipline

policies.”

“My son loves his high school. He has amazing

teachers and staff members that care about him and his

education.”

“It has good test results and has had a great reputation for a

long time.”
