Devon Energy October 2004 – May 2011 Angola Deepwater Exploration: Geophysicist on Block 16 (Dec ’08 – May ‘11)

- Identified and matured robust prospect inventory of Oligocene slope channel sands using 3D NAZ seismic data & synthetic well ties to produce structural/stratigraphic framework.

- Collaborated with joint venture technical counterparts on prospect evaluation/maturation and well planning/operations for a 3 well exploration campaign - resulted in Chissonga light oil discovery. Attended all partner meetings (TCM/CCM/FCM/OCM), coordinated all internal Well AFE’s, and managed internal budget in 2009 ($64M) and 2010 ($48M).

- Provided feedback on Operator’s (Maersk) seismic reprocessing efforts of existing NAZ data for AVO analysis and appraisal drilling and evaluated their acquisition and processing proposal for a 3D FAZ seismic dataset for field development.

- Well Operations included Chissonga-1 discovery and Chissonga-2/2stk1&2 appraisal wells - proving up a robust petroleum system of a vertically, slope complexes fully saturated with light oil. Production well tests suggested reservoirs capable of flowing in excess of 16,000 bopd per well.

- Resource appraisal included leading subsurface reservoir characterization team to identify all channel sets within the main channel complex to build a Petrel reservoir model to characterize flow units and reservoir heterogeneity to calculate stochastic volumetrics (OOIP) and identify future appraisal well locations.
