We will offer several options for our clients planning to travel to Japan. We will offer the popular Free Wheeler packages (return flights with match tickets) which allows you the freedom to create your trip of a lifetime. We will also offer several Fully Escorted Tour options which with cover both the pool matches and the more popular knockout stages of the tournament.

KOYO: AN AUTUMN FEAST FOR THE EYESGet your camera ready, the timing of the Rugby World Cup tournament is perfect to catch the stunning autumn season in Japan. The colourful leaves (koyo) is a real highlight for both visitors and locals.

September is the tail end of typhoon season but after this, the weather in autumn (late Sept-November) is generally mild with low rainful, clear skies and pleasant temperatures. Expect highs of 25degrees to low 15degrees, getting colder towards November.
What to wear: layered clothing, sweaters with a jacket in the north or the hills where it is cooler.

As an indication of rugby’s popularity in Fukuoka City, the city leads the nation with proportionately more registered players, compared to cities with much larger populations.

Oita’s rugby players are recognised for their accomplishments from their youth at the all-Japan high school rugby championship and later at the industrial league level.

Labelled Japanese rugby’s ‘hallowed ground of the east’ Kumagaya has reived particular recognition for the sport and is host to the spring all-Japan high school rugby championship.
OGASAYAMASPORTS PARK ESCOPACapacity: 50,889
Shizuoka is known for its scenery, tea orchards & hot springs resorts as well as producing star athletes in various sports. The Shizuoka Rugby Club was founded in 1929 and is active to this day.
TOYOTA STADIUMCapacity: 45,000
Famous for being the home of Toyota Motor Corporation HQ, the rugby club team affiliated with TMC has won a number of national rugby championships and enjoys wide popularity.
HANAZONO STADIUMCapacity: 30,000
The first stadium in Japan to be built especially for rugby, back in 1929. The venue and the many historic matches and fan support have led Higashi Osaka to be called the ‘Rugby City’.
MISAKI PARK STADIUMCapacity: 30,312
With sea & mountains on its doorstep, Kobe is a firm favourite of foreign visitors & residents alike. Rugby has a solid base here and is home to one of Japan’s most venerated clubs.
Hosted international events (1972 Winter Olympic Games and the FIFA World Cup 2002), plus home to professional baseball and soccer teams.
KAMAISHI STADIUM Capacity: 16,187Kamaishi’s connection to rugby is the steelmaking factory-sponsored rugby team who became a top amateur team in Japan.
