FUMC-BA News this Week! January 26, 2014
This Week! Demetrius, the Silversmith
When Paul arrived in Ephesus, he began to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ, as he always did. But a local silversmith was concerned: if people turned to Jesus, they might stop buying his silver idols of the goddess Artemis. So he had Paul arrested and did everything possible to silence him. Come next Sunday as we study the silversmith Demetrius and ask, “is Jesus bad for business?”
Hamburgers and Hot Dogs will be served
@ 11:00 am in Fellowship Hall
The meat and condiments will be supplied.

A man of few words, we
don’t have much
information for this bio. He
was given a great honor re-
cently, Firefighter of the Year for Rolling
Hills, Catoosa Fire Department -- he didn’t
tell us about it, we heard it from others.
Congratulations, Joey.
Joey tells us, “I worked for you for 5 years
and firefighter for 3, and I work for Jim
Norton Toyota.” He probably has so much
work to do he didn’t have time to write
more. Joey is a member of this church, as is
his mother, Kathi.
