Happy New Year! We are moving forward in faith with our vision to “Reach the tens of thousands for Christ making them disciples who Worship-Grow-Serve-and Go.”

Our recent increase in baptisms is certainly something that brings our Savior great joy! The increase in the study of God’s Word across all ages through Grow Groups has already proven the Lord’s promise of transformation in the hearts of those who receive His Word. The needs of those hurting and in need of care continues to be met through the work of our benevolence. Our care groups are strong shelters for those who are hurting from life’s circumstances. Our mission work is even more focused and determined than ever before to shine light into every dark corner of our world.

There is still so much more that God is asking of us here at Trinity. It is evidenced by the many problems we are facing from the years of growth and the need for more space and better usable space. Recently, we had to turn children away from hearing God’s Word because we were too full to welcome them. We have other children and families on waiting lists who are hoping to have their children educated with the Christian world-view through our school. These are just a few examples of the problem we are facing. With nearly 1,300 people moving into Texas everyday, we are facing a much bigger problem than we see currently.

“It’s a Good Problem to Have!”

We have been saying that a lot around here at Trinity. I have heard it said in meeting after meeting as staff and lay leaders work together to answer the increase of ministry here on our campus. When we look throughout our own denomination and

see many churches and schools in serious decline and struggling to keep their doors open we thank the Lord that here at Trinity Klein we have these problems of growth. That is why we say, “It’s a GOOD problem to have!”

How is the Lord leading us to meet the challenge of such a good problem?

We are preparing plans to move forward with Phase One of our Master Plan. It is step one to a three step process for both the present and the future of the Lord’s work here in Spring. This first phase brings an immediate answer to many of our current needs.

And so we are launching our Capital Campaign, “So They Can!” The theme verse comes from Psalm 22:30b, “Future Generations will hear about the wonders of the Lord.” The success of our “So They Can!” campaign means that together our children and theirs can Worship, Grow, Serve, and Go!

I want to invite you to join us on January 10 and 17 at our town hall meetings. These meetings will be optional offerings during our bible study hour from 9:45 a.m. - 10:45a.m. Attending one or both of these meetings will give you the opportunity to view the Phase One plans and get answers to questions. We will also have an Open Forum in our Pastor’s Class on January 31.

You will be hearing much more about our campaign throughout these beginning months of 2016.

Please join me in prayer and giving “So They Can”…Worship, Grow, Serve, and Go!

Trinity's Large Print Work Center was extremely blessed in 2015. We had nine groups working once a month with a total of 92 volunteers who gave 1,445 hours of volunteer time. They assembled and mailed 825 Large Print New Testaments in the U.S. and all over the world. This amounts to 1,470,150 pages of God's Word to be read by the visually impaired. In addition, we have had some very kind donations both from the Legacy of Blessing mission grant and from generous members and friends of Trinity. A special thank you goes to Bill Scott of Kwik Kopy in Spring, who is now printing and delivering our New Testaments each month. A blessed New Year to all! - Jean Webber

GOLarge Print Praise Report

“If you sit silently alone in the darkness, know that God loves you. He enters the very depths of your darkness and shines upon you with the light of His forgiveness. In that light you can find hope and begin the path toward healing. ‘Keep your voice from

weeping, and your eyes from tears … there is hope for your future, declares the Lord’ (Jeremiah 31:16-17).” - Rev. Dr. James I. Lamb, executive director of Lutherans For Life

A “Life Quote” from Lutherans For Life

Trinity Ablaze In Kenya - To God Be The GloryYear 2016 finds “Trinity Ablaze in Kenya” in humble thanksgiving for the blessings experienced as we mark the eighth year of mission journeys…..

On this side of the world - 15 mission trips taken, 30 congregations participated, 121 missionaries traveled, many numbers of volunteers helped, hundreds of supporters prayed. American and African partnerships established, dear friends made, love shared, hearts forever changed – light skinned and dark skinned… On the other side of the world – 19 villages or towns served, 51,000 people the Gospel enlightened, three new churches planted, 2400 new believing souls moved, 1600 patients sight restored, thousands with vision improved, hundreds with new bibles read.

And stories...here only three of many, many more...

Having lost his wife and family due to alcoholism, lying prone to the earth, he cried loudly with great emotion his confessions out to the Lord. Given forgiveness through Jesus’ sacrifice, we saw the grace of God in vivid action that day. Becoming a new man, he remained loyal to his new faith (in Kumpa).

She was young and beautiful and Muslim. Speaking to her about Jesus, she remained silent, with no eye contact. After a long wait, tears rolled down her cheeks. We prayed together. By the power of God’s Spirit she declared her desire to be Christian and she was enfolded into the family of faith (in Narok). The witchdoctor needed help

with his eyes and we were there to help. Hearing the Good News he responded “I am trapped in this darkness of witchcraft. I want to get out. I want to live in the light.” The Holy Spirit moved through the clinic with a mighty wind. That evening, all the tools of his trade were burned, and his son was brought to faith as well. He remains an active Christian today (in Emali).

“How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can they preach unless they are sent? As it is written, ‘How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!’” Romans 10:14-15

You, too, can bring good news on either side of the world. Contact [email protected] or call 832-813-7093.
