JAZZ FACULTY IN CONCERT WITH 100‐YEAR‐OLD BERISFORD “SHEP” SHEPHERD Monday, January 23 at 7:30 pm McKinney Theatre $10 general; $7 students/seniors (presale only) Join the Jazz Faculty as they welcome Shep Shepherd for a joyful concert. This wonderful ensemble features our en re jazz faculty: Jerry Pinter on tenor saxophone, Ron Stout on trumpet, Jamie Rosenn on guitar, Luther Hughes on bass, Paul Johnson on drums, Adam Bravo on piano, and Direc-tor of Jazz Studies Joey Sellers on trombone.

STAGECRAFT STUDENT INTERNS AT ROSE PARADE!  

Under the tutelage of Michael McCormick, the Division of Fine Arts’ Technical Director, two hard-working stagecra  students Atefeh Madi and Megan Perez were chosen to intern at this year’s Rose Parade. Atefeh’s pre-parade du es involved construc on of the broadcast booth for parade announcers. Megan worked the parade day and strike. McCormick, Atefeh, and past Saddleback Theatre Tech student Amber Caras (now working for KTLA) ar-rived in Pasadena at 3am on New Years day. The tradi on of past years was to walk the two miles to view all the floats as they pre-pare for the parade. They were interviewed by K-Cal News along their walk. They ended with a breakfast at the Elks Lodge and then to work.  Megan worked the parade day and strike and end-ed with lunch at the famous Pink’s Hot Dog stand.

AUDITIONS SPRING 2017  

THEATRE General audi ons for The Ash Girl, Tumbledown, Once Upon a Ma ress and Tennesee Williams’ One Acts will take place on Monday and Tuesday, January 23 and 24 in the McKinney Theatre at 6 pm. Callbacks on January 25-27.  

DANCE COLLECTIVE

Audi ons are Wednesday, January 18 from 10:30 am to noon or Friday, January 20 from 7 to 8:30 pm in PE301 (dance studio). Seeking dancers in contemporary, dance theatre, hip-hop, jazz, and ballet. All dancers cast must enroll in a 1-2 unit produc on course and commit to weekly rehearsals and tech week and per-formances April 18-22.
