Being involved in a musical production is a very special and rewarding

opportunity, with this comes with a lot of responsibility. As a company

member you will be expected to attend all rehearsals and learn your

material as required.

You will find everything you need for your audition in this pack. Also, for

inspiration, you could use YouTube to view other productions’ footage.

About the audition ….

• Please choose just ONE character that you wish to audition for (from this pack)

• Please prepare the song for that character (found in this pack)

• For pupils who wish to audition for the ensemble only, there will be a group audition after school (date to be confirmed) this will include, singing, dancing and acting.

• We may stop you at any point in your audition, this is not a bad thing! It may simply be because you have already given the team what they need to see/hear.

• Most importantly …. Don’t worry! We want to see/hear you at your best. Be calm, relaxed and well prepared. We are looking forward to seeing you all!

Dates for your diary ….

• Monday 9th September 3:30-5:00 – Principal role auditions

If you would like a lead role, then please audition this day. We will be putting sign up sheets outside the MPS door on the first week back of term, like we did last year. Please allocate yourself a time slot and write it down so you don’t forget!

• Tuesday 10th September 3:30-4:10 – Whole Group ensemble audition

This audition is for pupils who wish to have a part in the chorus only, it will include singing and dance.
