Lessons Learned: Bus Lanes • Offset bus lanes work better

– for both buses and communities

• Red paint and overhead signs are very effective at helping keep bus lanes clear – but red paint requires maintenance

• Cameras are more reliable than police for enforcement, but aren’t necessarily moneymakers (except for the vendors)
