Item No. 21 – M. S. railing

Fabricating and installing in position ornamental railing as per the given design. The

1.0 Material

The ISA / ISMB / ISMC structure shall be of IST make only as per structurally

required. The materials should not be brittle & shall be of ductilin manner. All

structural steel shall conform IS 26 1975. Plates as per design, necessary bolts &

welding equipments. ISI brand primer and oil paint etc. Anchor bolts as per

design.

2.0 Workmanship

The structural steel shall be free from the defect mentioned in IS 226 – 1975 and

shall have a smooth finish. The materials shall be free from loose mill scale, ruts

pits or other defects affecting the strength and durability when the steel section is

supplied by the contractor test certificate of the manufacturer shall be obtained

according to IS 226 – 1975 and other relative Indian Standards.

The structural member shall be install in good member with required scaffolding

or as per direction given by engineer – in charge. Necessary bolting & welding

shall be done in sharp technical manner read. Anchor bolts shall be fitted as per

structural details. The joints between horizontal & vertical structural member shall

be done as per Architect / structural engineer in charge. The erection of whole

structure shall be in good technical manner like complete in line, level and plumb.

Finishing this work. By applying primer coat and two coats of oil paints etc.,

complete.

3.0 Mode of measurement :

All work shall be measured in Rmt. basis for payment.

Item no. 27 - Window

Providing and fixing fully glazed aluminium window partly fixed and partly sliding shutter

with frame section 63.5 x 38.1 x 1.02 mm weighing 0.547 kg / Rmt. Shutter section 40

mm x 18 mm x 1.55 mm weighing 0.547 kg. / Rmt bottom, top & vertical channel section

61.85 x 31.75 x 1.20 mm weighing 0.695 kg / Rmt extruded aluminum colour anodized

section frame with sliding shutter with 5 mm thick transparent bronze color tinted float

glass panel of modi guard or equi. make with powder coated aluminium fittings &

fixtures and transparent silicon sealant glass fixing to from as detail including PVC T in

frame silicon based lining handles locks two noz. PVC gasket screws aluminium joints

special runners etc. complete.

Materials :

EPM gaskets of approved size and profile shall be provided and installed at all locations

as shown and as called for to render the doors, window etc. absolutely air tight ans

weather tight. Openable shutters shall have single row continuous EDPM weather strip.

Weather strips shall not be interruated by any fittings. Weather strip, gaskets and

sealants shall be of high quality materials capable of resisting local environment

exposure and performance requirements. Interior primary seal shall be of compression

type weather seal. The specifications, drawings, and schedule of quantities cover the

major requirement only. Supply and fixing of additional fastenings, fixtures and the items

of work not mentioned specifically but which are necessary for satisfactory completion

of the work are deemed to be included in the rates quoted by the contractor. Nothing

extra shall be paid on this account.

The alluminium sections shall conform to the following parameters also :

a) The minimum tensile strength shall be 19 kgf / mm2.

b) The maximum allowable deviation in length from a straight line shall be 0.5

mm / metre.

c) The maximum allowable deviation from straight line shall be 1” one degree).

d) The maximum permissible twist shall be 0.5 mm meter.

e) The maximum variation in flatness shall be not more than 0.125 x width / 25.

All members shall be accurately machined and fitted to form hairline joints prior to

assembly.

The design of the joint and accessories shall be such that the accessories are fully

concealed. The fabrication of doors, windows etc. shall be done in suitable sections to

facilitate easy transportation, handling and installation. Adequate provision & all the

made in the members for anchoring to supports and fixing of hardware and other

fixtures as approved by the Architects.

The gap between frames and supports and also any gaps in the door and window

sections shall be filled with approved silicon sealent of approved colour and make to

ensure complete water tightness. The silicon sealant shall be of such colour and

composition that it would not stain the masonry / concrete work, shall receive paint

without bleading, will not dag, for run and shall at set hand or dry out under any

conditions of weather. Silicon sealant shall be applied with special gun as per

manufacturer’s recommendations. The PVC wrapping protecting the anodized finish

shall be retained and all work connected with installation of doors / windows is

complete. All aluminium work shall be washed clean with a suitable thinner and left in a

finished condition, in approved uniform appearance and free from all marks and

blemishes.

The contractor shall execute the work carefully to ensure that the finished on external

walls are not damaged. In the event the said finished are damaged they shall be made

good by the contractor at his cost.

Drainage :

The system offered by the contractor shall have a built in provision for drainage of

water. The drainage details should be provided with the quotation.

The materials for aluminum window / ventilator louvers shall be of extruded aluminum

section of size as specified with 15 microns anodized coating, 4 mm thick float glass,

special gaskets of EPDM quality for weather tightening with silicon sealant compound.

Workmanship :

For two track windows / ventilator, the aluminum frame shutters of specified size is to be

used with 4 mm thick float glass of modiguard of equi. Branch decided by Engineer in

charge. The shutters for window shall be fitted with interlocking arrangements such in a

manner as window having two shutters covering full window / Ventilators.

Aluminium alloy & finish certificates :

We shall provide certificates from the extruded regarding alloy. We shall provide

certificate of the anodizing finishing indicating micron thickness from the anodizer.

Contractor shall submit shop drawing (showing all fabrication details), to the client /

Architect for the approval in advance of commencement of work, for which decisions of

Chief Engineer shall be final.

The weight of section given in the tender is minimum required weight and if the agency

offers alternate sections which have higher weight then for such excess weight of

section used nothing extra shall be paid & the work shall be executed only through the

approved agency mentioned in tender documents.

Measurement :

The payment shall be made for above item on square meter basis of work completed as

above.

Item no. 28 – FRP Frame & Shutter

Providing & fixing FRP frame size 125 x 65 mm and 35 mm thick FRP shutter with wood

grain raised panel design finish shutter having extra reinforcement on sides and edges

and in GEL coat finish. The core of shutter is to be filled up with injected fiber

extinguishing grade polyurethance foam done in situ along with embedded wooden

pieces for stiffening and also for taking hinges and fixtures. The whole FRP frame and

shutter is to be water proof, weatherproof, termite proof and resistance to mild acid /

alkali resistance including S. S. hinges with necessary screws and aluminium fixtures

and fastening.

1.0 Frame materials :

Frame material shall be of fire extinguishing grade F. R. P. skin having 125 mm x

65 mm chamfered type with thickness of 1.5 to 2.0 mm and core material shall be

fire extinguishing grade rigid poly urethane foam having density 32 to 36 kg / m3,

compressive strength 1.8 to 2.0 kg / cm2, flexural strength 3.5 to 4.5 kg / cm2.

Whole frame shall be water proof, weather proof, termite proof and mild acid /

alkali resistance. PU foam shall be done situ with plantation wooden pieces

embedded inside for holding fixtures and stiffening.

2.0 Shutter materials :

35 mm thick shutter in wood grain raised panel design shall be having 1.5 to 2.0

mm FRP thickness fire extinguishing grade FRP skin and embedded wooden

pieces for stiffening as well as holding hinges and fixtures all molded into one

piece shutter. Core material shall be injected fire extinguishing grade rigid

polyurethane foam done in situ having density 32 to 36 kg/cm3, compressive

strength 1.8 to 2.0 kg / cm2. Whole shutter shall be water proof weather proof,

termite proof and mild acid / alkali resistance.

3.0 Workmanship :

Item shall be carried out in general as per given drawing, design and as directed

by concern architect / engineer. The frame shall be fitted in line and level. FRP

shutter shall be fitted in line and level with required size and no. of S. S. hinges

and also fixing aldrop / stopper, tadi, handle etc. in to line and level with using

good quality screw, nail etc. as per instruction of Engineer in charge.

Work shall be carried out in good workman like manner.

4.0 Mode of measurement

Rate for item shall includes the satisfactory completion of item in all respect with

required all material, labour, plant tools and machinery etc.

Item shall be measured and paid on Sqmt. Basis.

Item No. 34 – Door Closer

Providing and fixing door closer of Dorma or Solo make approved ISI brand

make with necessary fixtures etc. complete.

1.0 Material

The door closer shall be of Dorma or Solo make with necessary fixtures &

fittings. The pivot shall be fitted to the upper side of door.

2.0 Workmanship

The door closer shall be fitted as per direction of engineer-in charge with all

necessary fixtures & fittings, if required with good manner that the function of

door closer shall be obtained without any obstacles, and shall be work easily. It

shall be provided where double shutter Door is to be fitted.

3.0 Mode of measurement :

The rate shall be for unit of one number.

Item No. 35 – V. C. shield tiles

'Providing & fixing somany V.C shield tiles make ( special rustic series ) of anti - skid

tiles flooring in a bed of tile adhesive of bal / samrock and joint to be filled with special

tile grout as per manufacturers specification complete as per instruction of engineer /

architect.

Material

i) Water shall confirm to M -1 of specification booklet of Tender.

ii) Bal / Samrock make tiles adhesive shall be confirm to as per manufacturer

specification.

iii) Veil Craft ceramic tiles as per IS 15622 2006 Table 11.0.08 <E < 3 groups B1 b

shall be of shade approved by Architect / Engineer – in - charge. The tiles shall

be hard, in regular in shape & uniformly coloured. It shall be without any soft

veins & cracks of flow. The size of the tiles shall be 605 x 605 mm x 496 mm x

496 mm & thickness 10 mm.

Workmanship :

Each tiles be cut to the required size & shape as shown if required.

In the working drawing supplied by Architect / Engineer in charge. All angles &

edges of tiles shall be true square & free from chipping and giving a plain

surface. The shade & quality of V. C. shield tiles shall be got approved by

Architect / Engineer in charge.

Bedding for the tiles shall be cement mortar 1 : 4 ( 1 Cement : 4 sand) of grey

cement & thickness as required. The sub grade shall be cleaned wetted &

mopped. Mortar of the specified mix & thickness shall be than spread on the

area. Sufficient to receive tiles. The tiles shall be washed clean before laying.

It shall laid on top pressed tapped gently to bring it in with the adjoining tiles /

stone flooring. The top surface of mortar shall be corrected by adding fresh

mortar of hollow & depressions. The mortar shall then be allowed to harden bit

over this surface. Cement slurry consistently shall be applied. The joint shall be

made as thin as possible & filled with white cement slurry mixed with coloured

pigment.

Mode of Measurement :

The rate shall include the cost of all materials & labours involved in all operations

described above. The tiles shall be measured on sq.mt. basis. No wastage shall

be considered.

The rate shall be for a unit of one sq.mt.

Item No. 36 'Providing, laying & fixing 18 mm thick telephone granite sand witch type plat form 0.75 m width % 0.80 m height resting on single / double polished kota stone of 25 mm thick in C.M 1 :4 with fixing kotah stone of 30 mm thick with c.b shelves polished kotah stone etc. complete as directed by engineer in charge. Scope of work The item covers the requirement of preparation of sandwich type granite platform resting on kota stone of mentioned thickness 1.0 Materials

Granite – Mirror polished Granite shall be hard, sound, dense and homogeneous in texture with crystalline texture. It shall be uniform in colour and free stains, cracks, decay and weathering. Red or any colour and dressed, finish including mirror polish etc. as approved by the Consultants. Polished kota stone shall be from approved quarry of kota

2.0 Workmanship The granite platform of size as directed shall be constrctrued in 60 cms. width and 62 cms. height. The brick masonry wall in CM. 1 :4 shall be constructed in 23 cms. thickness upto full depth. The whole masonry work shall be finished with cement mortar in CM. 1 :4.

3.0 Mode of measurements and payments The work of Granite platform shall be measured for finished work.

The rate includes cost of all labour and materials, etc. required for satisfactory completion of this item as described above. The rate shall be for a unit of One Square meter

Item No. 37 – Granite slab

Providing and fixing Mirror polished 18mm thick granite slab in riser, trade, lending,

partition fixed in the wall, platform only in single joint fix with cement Mortar bedding 1:3

( 1 Cement : 3 Coarse sand) and using and filling the joints with white cement slurry

admixed with pigment to match the shade of granite, including moulded of edge etc

complete as directed.

1.0 Granite – Mirror polished

Granite shall be hard, sound, dense and homogeneous in texture with crystalline

texture. It shall be uniform in colour and free stains, cracks, decay and

weathering.

Classification :

Red or any colour and dressed, finish including mirror polish etc. as approved by

the Consultants.

2.0 Dressing of slabs

Every stone shall be cut to the required size and shape, fine chisel dressed on all

sides to the full depth so that a straight edged laid along the side of the stones

shall be fully in contact with it. The top surface shall be single finished to remove

all waviness or/and furrowed dressed with bottom surface shall be rough hammer

dressed as per the details and instructions given by the Consultants.

The sides and top surface of slabs shall be machine rubbed with coarse sand

before paving. All angles and edges of the granite slabs shall be true. Square

and free from chipping and the surface shall be true and plane.

The thickness of the slabs shall be 25 and/or 50mm as specified in the

descriptions of the item. Tolerance of plus or minus 2 mm shall be allowed for

the thickness. In respect of length and breadth of slabs a tolerance of plus or

minus 5 mm shall be allowed.

3.0 Laying

Sub grade concrete or R.C.C slab on which the slabs are to laid shall be cleaned,

wetted and mopped. The bedding the grade shall be with cement mortar 1:6 (1

cement: 6 coarse sand) or with lime mortar (1 lime putty: 1 surkhi:1 coarse sand)

as given in the description of the item.

The average thickness of the bedding mortar under the slab shall be 18 mm and

the thickness at any place under the slab not less than 12 mm.

The slab shall be laid in the following manner. Mortar of the specified mix shall be

spread under the area of each slab, roughly to the average thickness specified in

the item. The slab shall be washed clean before laying . It shall be laid on top,

pressed, tapped with wooden mallet and brought to level with the adjoining slabs.

It shall be lifted and laid aside. The top surface of the mortar shall then be

corrected by adding fresh mortar at hollows. The mortar is allowed to harden a bit

and cement slurry of honey-like consistency shall be spread over the same at the

rate of 4.4 kg of cement per sqm. The edges of slab already paved shall be

buttered with grey or white cement with or without admixture of pigment to match

the shade of the granite slabs as given in the description of item. The slab to the

paved shall then be lowered gently back in position and tapped with the wooden

mallet till it is properly bedded in level with and close to the adjoining slab with

as fine a joint as possible. Subsequent slabs shall be cleaned off. The flooring

shall be cured of minimum period of fourteen days. The surface of the flooring as

laid shall be true to levels and slopes as instructed by the Consultants. Slabs

which are fixed in the floor adjoining the wall enter not less than 12 mm under the

plaster, skirting or dado. The junction between wall plaster and floor shall be

finished neatly and without waviness.

4.0 Polishing and Finishing

Slight unevenness at then meeting edges of the slabs shall than be removed by

fine chiseling finished in mirror polished.

5.0 Mode of measurement

The rate shall be unit of Square meter basis for payment.

Item No. 41 & 42

Providing and fixing 30 mm thick shot blasted paver tiles of super / Vyara / Duracte

brand of approved colour using M400 to be used in C. M 1 : 4 including joint filled white

cement mixed with pigment to match the sahde of tiles approved by the architect and

engineerin charge

Providing and laying interlocking concrete paying blocks, unpigmented concrete grade

M – 40, laid on C. M. 1 : 4 bedding including watering and leveling the bedding cutting

edges of blocks to fit, brushing and into joints filled and compacting with vibrator, colour

specified architects

Providing and fixing shot blasted paver stone of Supreme / Vyara / Duracrete 60 mm

thick to be fixed over 50 mm thick sand bedding and compaction with compactor and

colour (in different colour combination) complete as directed by architect.

Providing & fixing 60 mm thick shot blasted combi paver tiles using concrete grade M:400 for heavy vehicular movement luster finish coloured stones (in different colour combination) to be used in the parking areas on 50 mm thick sand layer including compacting the pavers with mechanical compactor & joint filling with fine sand as approved by the Architect. Providing and laying shot blasted concrete blocks, (super make) pigmented concrete grade M – 40, laid on sand bedding including watering and leveling the bedding cutting edges of blocks to fit, brushing and into joints and compacting with vibrator, colour specified architects.

The interlocking pavers shall be factory made using Portland cement sand and

aggregate of 4.75 mm and down.

The pavers blocks are required to be manufactured in weigh batching plant using

hydraulic compaction method with automatic machines. The minimum plant capacity

shall be 2000 sq.ft of pavers per day.

Characteristic of pavers :

1. The concrete pavers should have perpendicularities after release from the mould

and the same should be retained until laying.

2. The surface should be anti skid and anti flare type.

3. The pavers should have uniform special champers to facilitate easy drainage of

surface run off.

4. The pavers should have uniform interlocking space of 2 to 3 ensure compacted

sand filling after vibration of the paver surface.

5. The pavers should have the following Engineering properties when tested as per

IS 2185.

Crushing strength - 100 kg. per sq.cm.

% of water absorption - 3% max.

Abrasion resistance - As per relevant IS codes.

6. The ingredients of pavers shall meet the specifications of relevant IS code.

Mode of measurement

The rate shall be for a unit of one square meter.

Item no. 54 : APEX PAINT Providing & apllying Apex/Excel make antifungus exterior wall paint 3 coats as per manufacture specification of required shade to give an even shade after thoroughly brushing the surface, free from mortar dropping & other foreign matter & also including preparing the surface even & smooth upto satisfaction of Architect/Engineer-In_ Charge 1.0 Material 1.1 The water shall conform to M – 1Apex paint shall conform to I. S. 2.0 Workmanship 2.1 Scaffolding : The relevant specifications of item no. 18.11 shall be followed. 2.2 Preparation of surface :

2.2.1 The surface shall be thoroughly cleaned of all dust, dirt, mortar cropping and other foreign matter before Apex paint is to be applied.

2.2.2 Oil or grease spots shall be removed by suitable chemical and smooth surface shall be rubbed with wire brushes.

2.2.3 All round portion of the surface plaster shall be removed to full depth of plaster in rectangular patches and plastered again after raking the masonry joints properly. Such portion shall be wetted and allowed to dry. They shall then be given one coat of white wash.

2.2.4 All necessary nails shall be removed, he holes, cracks, patches etc. shall be made good with materials similar in composition to the surface to be prepared.

2.3 Scaffolding Wherever scaffolding is necessary, it shall be erected in such a way that as possible no part of scaffolding shall rest against the surface to be white or colour washed. A properly secured strong and well tied suspended platform (Zoola) may be used for white washing. Where ladders are used pieces of old gunny bags shall be tied at top and to bottom to prevent scratches to the floors and wall. For white washing of ceilings, proper stage scaffolding shall be erected where necessary.

2.4 Application of paint : 2.4.1 No painting shall be done when the paint is likely to be exposed to a

temperature below 7° C within 48 hours after application. 2.4.2 When weather conditions are such as to cause be carried out “In the

shadow” as far as possible. This helps the proper hardening of the paint film by keeping the surface most for a longer period. To maintain the uniform mixture and to prevent segregation, the paint shall be stirred frequently in the bucket.

2.4.3 For undecorated surfaces, the surface shall be treated with minimum two coats of APEX paint. Not less than 24 hours shall be allowed between two coats. Next coat shall not be started until the proceeding coat has become sufficiently hard to resist marking by the brush being used. In hot dry weather, the proceeding coat shall be slightly moistened before applying the subsequent coat.

2.4.4 The finished surface shall be even and uniform in shade without patches, brush mask, paint drops etc.

2.4.5 The Apex paint shall be applied with a brush with relatively short stiff hog or fiber bristles. The paint shall be brushed in uniform thickness and shall be free from excessively heavy brush marks. The lamps shall be well brushed out.

2.4.6 APEX paint shall be applied on surface already treated with white wash, colour wash, distemper dry or oil bound varnishes, paint etc.

3.0 Mode of measurements & payment 3.1 All the work shall be measured in the decimal system as under : a. Dismensions shall be measured to the nearest 0.01 M. b. Area in individual items shall be worked out to the nearest 0.01 sq.m. All the works shall be measured in sq.mt. Deductions for jambs, soffits, sills etc.

for openings not exceeding 0.5 sq.mt each in area, for ends of joists, posts, beams, girders, steps etc. not exceeding 0.5 sq.mt each in area and for opening exceeding 0.5 sq.mt. not exceeding 3.0 sq.mt. each in are, deductions and additions shall be made as under :

3.2 No deductions shall be made for ends of joints, beams, posts etc. and openings not exceeding 0.5 sq.mt each. No addition shall be made for reveals, jambs, soffits, sills etc. of these opening nor for finish around ends, joints, beams posts etc.

3.3 Deductions for opening exceeding 0.5 sq.mt but not exceeding 3 sq.mt. each shall be made as follows and no addition shall be made for reveals, jambs, soffits etc. of these openings. a. When both the faces of walls are provided with finish, deduction shall be

made fro one face only. b. When each face of wall is provided with a different finish, deductions shall

be made for that side of frame for door, windows etc. on which width of reveals is less than that of the other side. Where width of reveals on both faces of wall are equal, deduction of 50% of area of opening on each face shall be made from total area of finish.

c. When only one face of wall is treated and the other face is not treated, full deduction shall be made if the width of reveal on the treated side is less than that on the untreated side, but if the width of the reveal is equal or more than on the untreated side neither deductions for additions to be made for reveals, jambs, soffits, sills etc.

method of waterproofing by Penetron,USA -having speed of penetration of 31 cms in

56 days and resistance to 16 bar hydrostratic water head side. Using Penetron system

etc. comp.

♣ MATHODOLOGY :

We suggest that the entire Horizontal Surface of the Raft & vertical walls be treated with

Penetron Slurry.

The proposed treatment shall be carried out as per the procedure stated below:

- Surface Preparation: The entire area of the Top layer of the raft - wall shall be

cleaned with high pressure water jet. During this process the loose particles of

dust, dirt, loose concrete etc., shall be removed.

- Treat the cracks(if any), construction joints, and the corners between vertical and

horizontal surface with bond coat of Penetron, filing up with Penecrete Mortar

and a finishing coat of Penetron.

Scope of work The item includes providing and fixing of Table top basin with fittings upto entire satisfaction of EIC 1.0 Materials The white glazed earthenware wash basin shall be 440 L 440 W of 1st quality and ke approved by the Engineer-in-charge. White glazed porcelain wash basin : Wash basin shall be of white porcelain first quality best Indian make and it shall conform to I.S. 2556 (Part-IV) 1972 and I.S. 771-1979. The size of the wash basin shall be as specified in the item, Wash basin shall be of one piece construction with continued over-flow arrangements. All internal angles shall be designed so as to facilitate cleaning. Wash basin shall have single tap hole or two holes as specified. Each basin shall have a circular waste hole which is either rebated or beveled internally with 65 mm. diameter at top and 10 mm. depth to suit the waste fitting. The necessary stud slot to receive the bracket on the under side of the basin shall be provided. Basin shall have an internal soap holder recess which shall fully drain into the bowl. White glazed pedestal of the quality and colour as that of the basin shall be provided where specified in the item. It shall be completely recessed at the back for reception of supply and wash pipe. It shall be capable of supporting the basin rigidly and adequately

The wall plaster on the rear shall be cut to rest the top edge of the washbasin. After fixing the basing, piaste shall be made good and surface finished to match the existing one. The brackets shall be painted white with ready-mixed paint. The C.I. brass trap and union shall be connected to 32 mm. dia. waste pipe which shall be suitably bent towards the wall and which shail discharge into an open drain leading to a gully trap or direct in to gulfy-trap on the ground floor and shall be connected to a waste pipe through a floor trap on the upper floors. GENERAL INSTRUCTION / SPECIFICATION

The various items of works shall be carried out in general as per I. S. specifications and that of the latest edition of P.W.D. Hand book Vol. I & II along with following specifications. Where there is construction between the following specifications and shall govern in matters of inter petition etc. the decision of the Architect / Engineer shall be final and binding on the contractor. 1. The contractor is not allowed for executing any work, which in the Architect /

engineer opinion, is likely to couso any annoyance to occupants in the vicinity. At such time the architect may direct.

2. Any treasure crave, coins or objects of antiquity witch may be found on the site shall be handed over to the employer.

3. The contractor shall deliver to the engineer in charge of works report as to the number of operative employed in all trades and deliver notes for all materials delivered to the site.

4. The contractor is to provide, at all times during the progress of the works and maintenance period proper means of access, with loaders, gangways etc. The necessary attendance to move and adopt as directed for the inspection or measurement of the work by Architects. Consulting Engineer, Structural Engineers and employer or their authorized representatives.

5. The contractor is to allow for general attendance upon sub contractor, incl. the free use of plant and scaffolding ( and the provision of any special scaffolding required) and is to allow their operatives the use of latrines, water closets, mess rooms and sheds covered spate for plant, storage of materials etc. and a lock up shop for each.

6. The contractor is to set out any level the works end will be responsible for the accuracy of same. He is to provide all instruments and attendance required by Architects, consulting, structural engineers and employer or their authorized representative for checking their work.

7. The contractor is to cover up and protect the works from the weather and is to suspend all “SET” operation during weather witch in the Engineer / Architect opining will be departmental to the work.

8. The contactor is to allow for a general foreman to be a constantly on the works through out the period of their execution and for supervision as required under the condition of contract.

9. The contractor shall provide, erect and maintain proper shed and temporary buildings for the storage and protection of materials etc. and for the execution of works, which may be fabricated or brought on site.

10. The contractor shall provide, erect and maintain proper sheds mess rooms for the operative with adequate lighting attendance etc.

11. The contractor shall provide and erect in approved position all necessary sanitary conveniences with the rules and regulation of the municipality / local authority and maintain in a clean and orderly condition etc.

12. The contractor shall provide & erect and maintain on site office for the forman, with desk drawers etc. and adequate lighting and attendance etc.

13. The contractor shall provide and erect and maintain on site office for the Engineer in charge with desk, drawer and office etc. and adequate lighting and attendance etc.

14. The contractor shall allow for paying all rates, taxes and other charges which may be made by local or other authorities in condition with office shads and other temporary buildings erected for the purpose of the contract.

15. Board : A board of size approximately 8’ x 6’ as per drawings shall be put up at an approved place on the site. This board shall be painted in approved colours with the name of : a. The proposed construction and employer. b. The Architects c. The building contractors d. The structural consultant e. Any other specialist consultant. f. Consulting Engineers, as directed by the Architects. This shall be provided by the contractor at his own expenses.

16 Samples of each class of materials and workmanship shall be submitted by the contractor for the approval of the engineer / Architect and after such approval, these samples shall be deposited in the office of the Engineer and the contractor will be required to perform all the works of this contract in accordance with these samples.

17 If the contractor wants to make any item of work at this workshop or at any other place and not on site written application for permission to do so shall have to submitted to the Engineer stating clearly the item of work, place of its making etc. if the said applications is rejected by the Engineer the same item of work shall have to be carried out on site at no extra cost.

18 On completion, all work must be cleaned down rubbish removed and the works and land cleaned of rubbish, surplus materials and other accumulaton, and every thing left in clean and orderly condition. The contractor shall do this work at his own expenses as per the instruction of Engineer in charge.

19 The contractor shall proper a sample of any work required by the Architect / Engineer in charge and gets the Engineer / Architects approval before proceeding with the quantity wok. The rejected sample shall be removed by the contractor from site at his cost. The contractor shall not be eligible for any compensation for preparing or removing the sample.

20 No extra shall be paid on any item on account of the floor lead except where specifically mentioned.

21 All quantities mentioned in the schedule of quantities are only approximate and he contractor shall not be eligible for any claim due to any variation in or omission of any item of works.
