SterilizationWarning Endoscopes must not be sterilized in dry-heat sterilizers or

by gamma sterilization!

Warning Prior to assembling, check the components for potentialdamage as a result of thorough cleaning and drying!Only cleaned surfaces can be sterilized.

Use a commercial detergent or silicone oil suitable for surgical inst-ruments in order to maintain sealing rings and threads. Re-assemblethe endoscope and check it for proper function.

Gas Sterilization

Warning The endoscope should be fully dried before the gas ste-rilization!

Warning The endoscope must not be in touch with any metal objectduring the sterilization. It should be welded in suitableplastic membranes during the process.

Reprocessing

General

Warning Make sure to disinfect the endoscope immediately afteruse. Dried up impurities make cleaning and disinfectiondifficult and jeopardize the sterilization process.

Use neutral or alkaline cleaning agents and disinfectants.

Warning When immersing the endoscope, air should be able topass off the hollow spaces thus allowing all endoscopesurfaces to be entirely wetted.

Dismantle the endoscope prior to cleaning. Remove the light-guidecable adapters.

Use suitable holders to avoid damage during transport and storage.

Note Use water of at least drinking water quality to preparecleaning and disinfection solutions and for rising. Werecommend the use of deionised water, as even drinkingwater can have an exessive concentration of damagingingredients.

Warning After cleaning and disinfecting, make sure to rinse and dryall endoscope parts thoroughly.

We recommend that you finally dry the fibre surfaces and optical sur-faces with alcohol. Residual disinfectant or cleaning agents at the op-tical fibre connection can „burn in“ during use and have a significantadverse effect on light transmission.

Warning Endoscopes must not be cleaned in an ultrasonic bath!
