What is the Book of Revelation About?

The Book of Revelation is about Christ’s revealing of the divine mysteries that God the Father gave to Him (Christ) for the purpose of revealing those mysteries to us (His bondservants).[This is] the revelation of Jesus Christ [His unveiling of the divine mysteries]. God gave it to Him to disclose and make known to His bond servants certain things which must shortly and speedily come to pass in their entirety. And He sent and communicated it through His angel (messenger) to His bond servant John, Revelation 1:1 Amplified

What is the Book of Revelation About?

In the Throne Room of God one of the four living creatures called out to John to “Come and see!” (Revelation 6:1, 6:3, 6:5, 6:7) The word, “see” comes from the Greek word, “blepo” and means, “to perceive” or “behold” with the special sense of “optanomai” another Greek word meaning to “gaze with your eyes wide open upon something remarkable”. What John saw at the opening of the seven seals was the divine mystery which was revealed and the associated judgment that came forth!

What is the Book of Revelation About?

How do we know that John was actually seeing two things, both the revealed mystery and the associated judgment? We know that because Revelation 1:1 tells us that this book of the Revelation is about Christ’s revealing of the divine mysteries that God the Father gave to Him (Christ) for the purpose of revealing or disclosing it to us (His bondservants)! Therefore, we need to remain in that understanding as we read the Book of Revelation, otherwise we have “jumped off” onto our own understanding or the theories of men.

A Book of Climax and CompletionSince the Book of Revelation is a book of climax and completion, when we understand the divine mysteries that are being revealed the visions of John come into full view and their interpretation is disclosed! These divine mysteries weave throughout the entire Word of God and then they are like mighty trees breaking forth into full blossom as the understanding hidden in the visions of John come into glorious view! A mighty sight to behold for all Believers!

Seven Seals, Seven Divine Mysteries

These divine mysteries are all found in the Word of God. They are:

1) The mystery of Christ in you the hope of glory (Col. 1:25-27)

2) The mystery of the perishable putting on the imperishable (1 Cor. 15:51-55)

3) The mystery of the plan of redemption (Rom. 16:25)

4) The mystery of oneness between Christ and the Church (Eph. 5:29-32)

5) The mystery of the unification of all Israel (Rom. 11:25-26, Eph. 3:3-6)

6) The mystery of lawlessness (2 Thess. 2:7)

7) The mystery of Christ Himself (Eph.1:9-14, 3:3-6; 1 Cor. 2:1, Col.4:3-4)

The Roadmap to End Times Prophecy

Not only is the Book of Revelation a book of climax and completion, but it is also the roadmap to all end times prophecies and makes perfect sense exactly the way that God wrote it! When the Book of Revelation is understood the way that it is written, all other end times prophecies support it without having to cut and paste things together. The Book of Revelation needs to be understood first and then other end times prophecies support it and come into focus, it is NOT the other way around!

Three Groups of Seven JudgmentsTo begin to layout our roadmap we need to understand the basic structure of the Book of Revelation. The book is broken into three groups of seven judgments. They are:

1) The 7 seal judgments. (Revelation 6:1-8:1)

2) The 7 trumpet judgments. (Revelation 8:2-15:8)

3) The 7 bowl judgments. (Revelation 16:1-21)

These three groups of seven judgments come forth in consecutive order just as they are written.

• 7 seal judgments• 7 trumpet judgments• 7 bowl judgments

Page 11: It It is only the Lord that can take something so complex and make it so simple that a child can understand it. For it is written, I will baffle and render

Three Groups of Seven JudgmentsIt is the opening of the 7th seal that brings forth the trumpet judgments. When He [the Lamb] broke open the seventh seal, there was silence for about half an hour in heaven. 2 Then I saw the seven angels who stand before God, and to them were given seven trumpets.

Revelation 8:1-2 AmplifiedLikewise the bowl judgments cannot take place until the institution of the mark of the beast and the worship of the statue in its image.2 So the first [angel] went and emptied his bowl on the earth, and foul and painful ulcers (sores) came on the people who were marked with the stamp of the beast and who did homage to his image.

Revelation 16:2 Amplified

• 7 seal judgments• 7 trumpet judgments• 7 bowl judgments

Page 12: It It is only the Lord that can take something so complex and make it so simple that a child can understand it. For it is written, I will baffle and render

Three Groups of Seven JudgmentsNot only do the three groups of judgments come forth in consecutive order, but they are also numbered one through seven in the order of their coming forth.

1) The seal judgments are numbered 1 through to 7 in the order of their coming forth.

2) The trumpet judgments are numbered 1 through to 7 in the order of their coming forth.

3) The bowl judgments are numbered 1 through to 7 in the order of their coming forth.

The Seven Year Tribulation PeriodAlthough the Scriptures are very clear, most people don’t know when the seven year tribulation period actually takes place. During the time of the 6th trumpet judgment the Lord’s two witnesses are endowed with power for a period of 3-1/2 years. And I will grant the power of prophecy to My two witnesses for 1,260 (42 months; three and one-half years), dressed in sackcloth.

Revelation 11:3 Amplified

The Seven Year Tribulation PeriodTheir death and ascension into heaven is the cue for the 7th trumpet to sound.12 Then [the two witnesses] heard a strong voice from heaven calling to them, Come up here! And before the very eyes of their enemies they ascended into heaven in a cloud.13 And at that [very] hour there was a tremendous earthquake and one tenth of the city was destroyed (fell); seven thousand people perished in the earthquake, and those who remained were filled with dread and terror and were awe-struck, and they glorified the God of heaven.14 The second woe (calamity) has passed; now the third woe is speedily to come. 15 The seventh angel then blew [his] trumpet, and there were mighty voices in heaven, shouting, The dominion (kingdom, sovereignty, rule) of the world has now come into the possession and become the kingdom of our Lord and of His Christ (the Messiah), and He shall reign forever and ever (for the eternities of the eternities)! Revelation 11:12-15 Amplified

The Seven Year Tribulation PeriodWhat confuses many people is the beast that kills the two witnesses, this beast is not the antichrist but the ten kings that are to arise as spoken of in the Book of Daniel (Daniel 2:41-44, 7:7-8)Once the 7th trumpet sounds a new era of judgments take place. During this time of the 7th trumpet the antichrist is authorized to exert his power and authority for 3-1/2 years.5 And the beast was given the power of speech, uttering boastful and blasphemous words, and he was given freedom to exert his authority and to exercise his will during forty-two months (three and a half years).

Revelation 13:5 AmplifiedThe 3-1/2 years of the two witnesses and the 3-1/2 years of the antichrist are equal to 7 years!

Jerusalem Trampled

Another point that confuses people is Revelation 11:2,But leave out of your measuring the court outside the sanctuary of God; omit that, for it is given over to the Gentiles (the nations), and they will trample the holy city underfoot for 42 months (three and one-half years).Jerusalem will be trampled by the Gentiles for 3-1/2 years. This takes place during the reign of the antichrist and not the two witnesses because it is a prophetic statement. The word, “will” speaks of something that will happen in the future, it is a prophecy within a prophecy.

The RaptureAfter hearing the sound of the 7th trumpet the first vision that John sees is the woman of Revelation 12.And a great sign (wonder)—[warning of future events of ominous significance] appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet, and with a crownlike garland (tiara) of twelve stars on her head. 2 She was pregnant and she cried out in her birth pangs, in the anguish of her delivery. 3 Then another ominous sign (wonder) was seen in heaven: Behold, a huge, fiery-red dragon, with seven heads and ten horns, and seven kingly crowns (diadems) upon his heads.

Page 22: It It is only the Lord that can take something so complex and make it so simple that a child can understand it. For it is written, I will baffle and render

The Rapture 4 His tail swept [across the sky] and dragged down a third of the stars and flung them to the earth. And the dragon stationed himself in front of the woman who was about to be delivered, so that he might devour her child as soon as she brought it forth. 5 And she brought forth a male Child, One Who is destined to shepherd (rule) all the nations with an iron staff (scepter), and her Child was caught up to God and to His throne. 6 And the woman [herself] fled into the desert (wilderness), where she has a retreat prepared [for her] by God, in which she is to be fed and kept safe for 1,260 days (42 months; three and one-half years).

Revelation 12:1-6 Amplified

The RaptureThe word, “woman” comes from the Greek word, “gune” and specifically means, “wife”. It is the same word used to describe the Wife of the Lamb or the Lamb’s “gune” in Revelation 21:9,Then one of the seven angels who had the seven bowls filled with the seven final plagues (afflictions, calamities) came and spoke to me. He said, Come with me! I will show you the bride, the Lamb’s wife. (Amplified)It is derived from the Greek word, “ginomai” which means, “the one that was caused to be”; “the one that came into being”; “the one that arose and became fully assembled”; “the one that was (is) to be taken and married”.

The RaptureThe woman or wife cried out in the anguish of her delivery and she brought forth a Male child. In other words, collectively, she brought forth the full image of the One Man Christ Jesus within her! In keeping with the understanding set forth in Revelation 1:1 we see that the delivery of the Christ within her is the full climax and completion of the mystery of Christ in you the hope of glory!26 The mystery of which was hidden for ages and generations [from angels and men], but is now revealed to His holy people (the saints), 27 To whom God was pleased to make known how great for the Gentiles are the riches of the glory of this mystery, which is Christ within and among you, the Hope of [realizing the] glory. Colossians 1:26-27 Amplified

The Rapture

By delivering the image of Christ within her, the woman or wife was delivered (or rescued) by Him! 7 Before [Zion] travailed, she gave birth; before her pain came upon her, she was delivered of a male child. 8 Who has heard of such a thing? Who has seen such things? Shall a land be born in one day? Or shall a nation be brought forth in a moment? For as soon as Zion was in labor, she brought forth her children.9 Shall I bring to the [moment of] birth and not cause to bring forth? says the Lord. Shall I Who causes to bring forth shut the womb? says your God. Isaiah 66:7-9 Amplified

Page 26: It It is only the Lord that can take something so complex and make it so simple that a child can understand it. For it is written, I will baffle and render

The Rapture

When the wife arose fully assembled and brought forth the image of Christ within her, it was at that very moment that He made Himself more glorious within His consecrated people so that His glory would be reflected through them! When He comes to be glorified in His saints [on that day He will be made more glorious in His consecrated people], and [He will] be marveled at and admired [in His glory reflected] in all who have believed [who have adhered to, trusted in, and relied on Him], because our witnessing among you was confidently accepted and believed [and confirmed in your lives].

The RaptureThis glory was as if she was, “clothed with the sun” the perishable put on the imperishable and she was transformed in the twinkling of an eye at the sound of the last trumpet (the 7th trumpet is the last of the trumpet judgments).51 Take notice! I tell you a mystery (a secret truth, an event decreed by the hidden purpose or counsel of God). We shall not all fall asleep [in death], but we shall all be changed (transformed) 52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the [sound of the] last trumpet call. For a trumpet will sound, and the dead [in Christ] will be raised imperishable (free and immune from decay), and we shall be changed (transformed).

Page 28: It It is only the Lord that can take something so complex and make it so simple that a child can understand it. For it is written, I will baffle and render

The Rapture53 For this perishable [part of us] must put on the imperishable [nature], and this mortal [part of us, this nature that is capable of dying] must put on immortality (freedom from death). 54 And when this perishable puts on the imperishable and this that was capable of dying puts on freedom from death, then shall be fulfilled the Scripture that says, Death is swallowed up (utterly vanquished forever) in and unto victory. 55 O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting?

1 Corinthians 15:51-55 Amplified

The Rapture

Understanding that the woman of Revelation 12 is the Lamb’s wife, is the basis for understanding how the woman flees and where she goes when she does.6 And the woman [herself] fled into the desert (wilderness), where she has a retreat prepared [for her] by God, in which she is to be fed and kept safe for 1,260 days (42 months; three and one-half years).

Revelation 12:6 AmplifiedThe word, “fled” comes from the Greek word, “pheugo” and means that she “vanished”. So then she vanishes into the “desert wilderness”

The Rapture

where she is to be kept safe for 3-1/2 years (the same 3-1/2 years that the antichrist is permitted to exercise his authority). This phrase, “desert wilderness” comes from the Greek word, “eremos” and means, “a solitary place that is not frequently travelled”. To fully understand this solitary place we need to look at three other Greek words that the word “eremos” is derived from:

1) chora- carries with it the idea of an empty expanse or room

2) chasma- meaning, “a chasm or being separated by a great expanse or gulf”

3) topos- meaning, “the spot” or “place of limited occupancy”

Page 31: It It is only the Lord that can take something so complex and make it so simple that a child can understand it. For it is written, I will baffle and render

The RaptureTaken together these four words paint the picture of the bridal chamber! Even Jesus referred to His children as children of the bridal chamber. And Jesus said unto them, Can the children of the bridechamber mourn, as long as the bridegroom is with them? but the days will come, when the bridegroom shall be taken from them, and then shall they fast.

Matthew 9:15 KJVWhen we apply the understanding that is brought forth to Revelation 12:6 the verse reads more like this, “The woman, the wife that arose fully assembled, vanished into the bridal chamber where she is to be kept safe for 3-1/2 years.”

Page 32: It It is only the Lord that can take something so complex and make it so simple that a child can understand it. For it is written, I will baffle and render

The RaptureNot only does this make sense and place the finishing touches on all that we adhere to as Believers, but the woman of Revelation 12 is also the full climax and completion of the first four divine mysteries!

1) The mystery of Christ in you the hope of glory (Col. 1:25-27).

2) The mystery of the perishable putting on the imperishable (1 Cor. 15:55-57).

3) The mystery of the plan of redemption (Rom. 16:25).

4) The mystery of Oneness between Christ and the Church (Eph. 5:29-32).

The Statue and the Mark of the Beast

The setting up of the statue in the image of the beast and the incorporation of the mark of the beast is known as the abomination of desolations. This is set up by the false prophet on behalf of the antichrist and is an attempt to extend his reign (Daniel 7:25) past the 3-1/2 years that he is permitted to exercise his authority (Revelation 13:5).

11 Then I saw another beast rising up out of the land [itself]; he had two horns like a lamb, and he spoke (roared) like a dragon. 12 He exerts all the power and right of control of the former beast in his presence, and causes the earth and those who dwell upon it to exalt and deify the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed, and to worship him. 13 He performs great signs (startling miracles), even making fire fall from the sky to the earth in men’s sight. 14 And because of the signs (miracles) which he is allowed to perform in the presence of the [first] beast, he deceives those who inhabit the earth, commanding them to erect a statue (an image) in the likeness of the beast who was wounded by the [small] sword and still lived. 15 And he is permitted [also] to impart the breath of life into the beast’s image, so that the statue of the beast could actually talk and cause to be put to death those who would not bow down and worship the image of the beast. 16 Also he compels all [alike], both small and great, both the rich and the poor, both free and slave, to be marked with an inscription [stamped] on their right hands or on their foreheads,17 So that no one will have power to buy or sell unless he bears the stamp (mark, inscription), [that is] the name of the beast or the number of his name. 18 Here is [room for] discernment [a call for the wisdom of interpretation]. Let anyone who has intelligence (penetration and insight enough) calculate the number of the beast, for it is a human number [the number of a certain man]; his number is 666.

Revelation 13:11-18 Amplified

The Statue and the Mark of the Beast

11 And from the time that the continual burnt offering is taken away and the abomination that makes desolate is set up, there shall be 1,290 days. 12 Blessed, happy, fortunate, spiritually prosperous, and to be envied is he who waits expectantly and earnestly [who endures without wavering beyond the period of tribulation] and comes to the 1,335 days! Daniel 12:11-12 AmplifiedThe “continual burnt offering being taken away” is a type of or reference to the rapture or the catching away of the wife, the bride of Christ. From the time that the rapture occurs to the time that the statue is set up and the mark of the beast is incorporated there is 1,290 days. This is 30 days past the designated time for the antichrist to exercise his authority on the earth which is limited to 1,260 days (Revelation 13:5). This brings the setting up of the statue and the mark of the beast to the end of the seven year tribulation period, but before the pouring out of the bowl judgments. As we can see the first angel poured out his bowl judgment on all those that worshipped the beast and had the mark.So the first [angel] went and emptied his bowl on the earth, and foul and painful ulcers (sores) came on the people who were marked with the stamp of the beast and who did homage to his image. 1,335 DaysBlessed, happy, fortunate, spiritually prosperous, and to be envied is he who waits expectantly and earnestly [who endures without wavering beyond the period of tribulation] and comes to the 1,335 days! Daniel 12:12 Amplified

This verse is talking about 1,335 days from the time of the continual burnt offering being taken away or the catching away of the bride of Christ (the rapture). This 1,335 days is 45 days past the 1,290 days spoken of in Daniel 12:11 and points us to a time frame beyond the tribulation period.

And from the time that the continual burnt offering is taken away and the abomination that makes desolate is set up, there shall be 1,290 days.

Daniel 12:11 AmplifiedThe difference between the 1,335 days and the 1,290 days leaves just 45 days for the seven bowl judgments to be poured out.

The Battle of ArmageddonMany people have heard about the Battle of Armageddon, but very few actually know when this battle is to take place. The Battle of Armageddon takes place at the 6th bowl judgment, not before and not after.

12 Then the sixth [angel] emptied his bowl on the mighty river Euphrates, and its water was dried up to make ready a road for [the coming of] the kings of the east (from the rising sun). 13 And I saw three loathsome spirits like frogs, [leaping] from the mouth of the dragon and from the mouth of the beast and from the mouth of the false prophet. 14 For really they are the spirits of demons that perform signs (wonders, miracles). And they go forth to the rulers and leaders all over the world, to gather them together for war on the great day of God the Almighty. 15 Behold, I am going to come like a thief! Blessed (happy, to be envied) is he who stays awake (alert) and who guards his clothes, so that he may not be naked and [have the shame of being] seen exposed! 16 And they gathered them together at the place which in Hebrew is called Armageddon.

Wars and Rumors of Wars

In the Book of Revelation there are several battles or wars that take place. Whether or not these will be several wars or one big war with several battles remains to be seen.

1) War at the fourth seal (Revelation 6:7-8)

2) War at the 5th trumpet (Revelation 9:1-11)

3) War at the 6th trumpet (Revelation 9:13-20)

4) The Battle of Armageddon (Revelation 16:12-16)

Another Great Mystery:The Nation of Israel Comes In

25 Lest you be self-opinionated (wise in your own conceits), I do not want you to miss this hidden truth and mystery, brethren: a hardening (insensibility) has [temporarily] befallen a part of Israel [to last] until the full number of the ingathering of the Gentiles has come in,26 And so all Israel will be saved. As it is written, The Deliverer will come from Zion, He will banish ungodliness from Jacob.

Romans 11:25-26 AmplifiedThe Apostle Paul specifically said that he did not want us to miss this mystery, “a hardening (insensibility) has [temporarily] befallen a part of Israel [to last] until the full number of the ingathering of the Gentiles has come in.” Which leads us to the fifth divine mystery, that the nation of Israel does not come into the Kingdom of God UNTIL the full number of the Gentiles (the full count from the rest of the world) has come in. As we see many that were first have become last (Matthew 20:16). If we turn over to Revelation 7:9-15 we see that there are a countless multitude of people (Gentiles) that are to come into the Kingdom of God from out of the Great Tribulation Period (the seven year tribulation).

Another Great Mystery:The Nation of Israel Comes In

9 After this I looked and a vast host appeared which no one could count, [gathered out] of every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages. These stood before the throne and before the Lamb; they were attired in white robes, with palm branches in their hands. 10 In loud voice they cried, saying, [Our] salvation is due to our God, Who is seated on the throne, and to the Lamb [to Them we owe our deliverance]! 11 And all the angels were standing round the throne and round the elders [of the heavenly Sanhedrin] and the four living creatures, and they fell prostrate before the throne and worshiped God. 12 Amen! (So be it!) they cried. Blessing and glory and majesty and splendor and wisdom and thanks and honor and power and might [be ascribed] to our God to the ages and ages (forever and ever, throughout the eternities of the eternities)! Amen! (So be it!) 13 Then, addressing me, one of the elders [of the heavenly Sanhedrin] said, Who are these [people] clothed in the long white robes? And from where have they come? 14 I replied, Sir, you know. And he said to me, These are they who have come out of the great tribulation (persecution), and have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. 15 For this reason they are [now] before the [very] throne of God and serve Him day and night in His sanctuary (temple); and He Who is sitting upon the throne will protect and spread His tabernacle over and shelter them with His presence. Therefore, when we stay with the understanding of the very mystery that Paul did not want us to miss we see that the nation of Israel cannot come into the Kingdom until after the Great Tribulation Period, because throughout the seven year tribulation a countless multitude of Gentiles comes into the Kingdom of God! Additionally, we need to understand the phrase, “And so all Israel will be saved...” (Romans 11:26). The true Israel of God is made up of three parts (Ezekiel 37:15-28):

1) The Bride of Christ, those Believers who are caught away or raptured.2) The wedding guests, all other Believers, including those that come in after the

rapture and during the Great Tribulation Period.3) Those that belong to the physical nation of Israel (Jews by bloodline and

genealogy) that become Believers. When all three groups have come into the Kingdom then indeed, “all Israel will be saved” the true Israel of God!

Another Great Mystery:The Nation of Israel Comes In

With the enlightenment that comes forth from the fifth divine mystery the vision of John in Revelation 15:1-4 comes into focus as being a vision great and marvellous, a vision of the nation of Israel (Jews by bloodline and genealogy) together in the Kingdom with the full number of the Gentiles! Then I saw another wonder (sign, token, symbol) in heaven, great and marvelous [warning of events of ominous significance]: There were seven angels bringing seven plagues (afflictions, calamities), which are the last, for with them God’s wrath (indignation) is completely expressed [reaches its climax and is ended]. 2 Then I saw what seemed to be a glassy sea blended with fire, and those who had come off victorious from the beast and from his statue and from the number corresponding to his name were standing beside the glassy sea, with harps of God in their hands. 3 And they sang the song of Moses the servant of God and the song of the Lamb, saying, Mighty and marvelous are Your works, O Lord God the Omnipotent! Righteous (just) and true are Your ways, O Sovereign of the ages (King of the nations)! 4 Who shall not reverence and glorify Your name, O Lord [giving You honor and praise in worship]? For You only are holy. All the nations shall come and pay homage and adoration to You, for Your just judgments (Your righteous sentences and deeds) have been made known and displayed.

The Days Shortened The purpose of laying out this timeline is so that we can see the roadmap to all end

times prophecies so that we as Believers can navigate the last days and lead many to righteousness.3 And the teachers and those who are wise shall shine like the brightness of the firmament, and those who turn many to righteousness (to uprightness and right standing with God) [shall give forth light] like the stars forever and ever. Daniel 12:3 AmplifiedIn Matthew 24:26, Jesus said, “that no one knows the exact day or hour, not even the angels, but only the Father.” Therefore, it is impossible for us to calculate the exact day or hour of the Second Coming, but we are to know the times and the season. So even though we have a timeline of events up to this point we need to take into consideration that the days will be shortened. In Matthew 24:22, Jesus said, “And if those days had not been shortened, no human being would endure and survive, but for the sake of the elect those days will be shortened.” Concerning the days being shortened we need to return to the length of time that the bride is to be kept safe in the bridal chamber, so let’s return to Revelation 12:6,

Page 50: It It is only the Lord that can take something so complex and make it so simple that a child can understand it. For it is written, I will baffle and render

The Days Shortened

And the woman [herself] fled into the desert (wilderness), where she has a retreat prepared [for her] by God, in which she is to be fed and kept safe for 1,260 days (42 months; three and one-half years).

Revelation 12:6 AmplifiedThe woman or wife is to be kept safe in the “eremos” (the bridal chamber) for a period of 3-1/2 years. This is a period of 1,260 days. When she does emerge, she does so as the New Jerusalem.

The Days Shortened

Then I saw a new sky (heaven) and a new earth, for the former sky and the former earth had passed away (vanished), and there no longer existed any sea. 2 And I saw the holy city, the new Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God, all arrayed like a bride beautified and adorned for her husband

Revelation 21:1-2 Amplified

At this point we see that there is a new heaven and earth, which puts us passed the pouring out of the bowl judgments. Therefore, we know that the time is shortened from the 1,335 days spoken of in Daniel 12:12 to 1,260 days spoken of in Revelation 12:6.

The Days Shortened Again

Additionally, when we apply the prophetic words given to Daniel concerning the cleansing of the temple being a period of 2,300 days (a reference to the Great Tribulation Period) we see that the time frame is shortened even more. By this prophecy the seven year tribulation period is shortened from 7 years to 6.3 years (2,300 days) or as Jesus said, “no one would survive”.

13 Then I heard a holy one speaking, and another holy one said to the one that spoke, For how long is the vision concerning the continual offering, the transgression that makes desolate, and the giving over of both the sanctuary and the host [of the people] to be trampled underfoot? 14 And he said to him and to me, For 2,300 evenings and mornings; then the sanctuary shall be cleansed and restored.

The Second Coming of Christ

The Second Coming of Christ is a very distinct and separate event from the rapture or the catching away of the Bride of Christ. To confuse these two events is error and without proper understanding of the heavenly ceremony. First, the Groom makes Himself more glorious within the bride (2 Thessalonians 1:10). Then the two vanish into the bridal chamber for a period of 3-1/2 years (Revelation 12:6). The Groom emerges first (Revelation 19:11-21) followed by the Wife of the Lamb (Revelation 21:2-22:5)! The Groom emerging is the Second Coming of Christ and takes place between the warning of His Coming during the 6th bowl judgment (Revelation 16:5) and the declaration, “It is done!”, at the 7th bowl judgment (Revelation 16:17).

The Second Coming of Christ12 Then the sixth [angel] emptied his bowl on the mighty river Euphrates, and its water was dried up to make ready a road for [the coming of] the kings of the east (from the rising sun). 17 Then the seventh [angel] emptied out his bowl into the air, and a mighty voice came out of the sanctuary of heaven from the throne [of God], saying, It is done! [It is all over, it is all accomplished, it has come!] 18 And there followed lightning flashes, loud rumblings, peals of thunder, and a tremendous earthquake; nothing like it has ever occurred since men dwelt on the earth, so severe and far-reaching was that earthquake. 19 The mighty city was broken into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell. And God kept in mind mighty Babylon, to make her drain the cup of His furious wrath and indignation. 20 And every island fled and no mountains could be found. 21 And great (excessively oppressive) hailstones, as heavy as a talent [between fifty and sixty pounds], of immense size, fell from the sky on the people; and men blasphemed God for the plague of the hail, so very great was [the torture] of that plague.
