Superior General’s Visit to LEAD: A Note of Thanks

Part III of Brother Superior’s Visit to LEAD took place in Japan and the Philippines from July 11 – 25. This is the last of a three-part visit which began in March 2015 with visits to Singapore and Malaysia, and December 2015 with visits to Myanmar, Thailand and Hong Kong.

In his meeting with the District Council on July 25 he mentioned that, “As a new District, LEAD has accomplished much since its inception in 2011. Creating a new entity composed of seven countries with diverse languages and cultures is a very formidable task . . . the creation of LEAD has created new opportunities for all its members. You share initial formation programs, benefit from an increased pool for leadership and are exposed to best practices in the different countries of the District. Immersion experiences in the ministries of the different countries and participation in age-related education and formation programs are strengthening the Lasallian mission in this part of the world. The District is blessed with many gifts and resources that are even benefitting the Region and the Institute . . .”

I wish to thank all the Auxiliary Visitors (including Br. Thomas Lavin who helped out in part I), Country Coordinators, Brothers and Lasallian partners who made the visit of Br. Robert and Br. Ricky successful and organized.
