What a pleasure it was to be able to see our new Kindergarten students start their learning journey on Monday. I was fortunate enough to be able to get to all the Kindergarten rooms and see our newest learners already engaged in meaningful activities as they started their big school adventure. All three classes were so bright and busy; I’m not sure if the students or teachers will be more worn out at the end of such a big week. Last Friday, we were able to move into our new classes. P&C Association Welcome to the new school year. The P&C AGM will be held on Tuesday 25th February at 5.30pm in the School Library. At the AGM all positions will be declared vacant. The P&C contributes in many ways to the school and cannot successfully operate without the assistance of Volunteers. We look forward to seeing some new faces this year and working together to see what we can achieve.

Canteen Corner

We are always looking for more volunteers to help out in the canteen. If you think this might be something you would like to do, please pop in and have a quick chat to Jody or Anne. Helpers are generally needed from 8.30am to 12.15pm, however, any time that you can offer would be greatly appreciated. Please note you will need a current Working with Children Check to volunteer in the canteen. Online ordering is now available. You can setup your online ordering account now. Attendance

Please ensure your child is at school every day on time. Regular attendance is an important part of ensuring that students get into solid learning routines. Attendance is a priority area for the Port Stephens network of schools, and we are aiming to continue to increase the attendance rates. Members of the school executive and Learning Support Team regularly meet with the Home School Liaison Officer to review student attendance.

2020 Book Packs

This year we are once again offering Book Packs for sale to all students. Kindergarten $64.00 Year 1 $65.00 Year 2 $65.00 Year 3 $58.00 Year 4 $56.00 Year 5 $67.00 Year 6 $60.00 A Voluntary School Contribution of $15.00 is included. The contribution helps to cover the cost of the extra resources that your child will use on class on a day to day basis. *Payment can be made in person at our office, via telephone or online via the School website. The class teacher will issue the Book Pack once full payment has been received.
