If you have any concerns regarding the placement of your child next year based on educational grounds, you may put these in writing and forward them to the Principal by Friday 6 th November Request forms will be available at the office or on the school website. Please note also that requests for a particular teacher will not be acknowledged, as the educational needs of all children in the school must be considered and teacher movement across teaching teams is common practice at TPS. This practice is a key component of building staff energy, collaboration and knowledge. HEAD LICE Several parents have recently reported cases of head lice for students particularly in Prep – Years 2. Could all parents please make an extra effort over the next week to check their child/ren’s hair. Please note, children are to be excluded from school until treatment has been applied. Come and Join our “STRINGS DAY” Rosebud Primary School, Thursday 5th November 2015

A day for string players from all over the peninsula and geared to suit beginners and more advanced.

Strings day will commence at 9am and run through to 1.15pm. Parents are responsible for travel to and from the venue.

Prep B - Mrs Bos – Mahlia Cass-Fyson – for being an attentive listener during her visit to the Life Education Van.

Prep R - Mrs. Read – Wil Giarrusso – for the great effort he is making to improve his handwriting.

1H - Mrs Hughes - Riley Newman – for the positive attitude he is demonstrating in all school activities. He is showing great “Integrity”. Keep it up Riley.

1P - Miss Perkins – Nash Sullivan – you have really taken responsibility for your learning this term, especially during ‘Big Write’ time. Well done!

2B – Mrs Baird – Alex Baldwin –welcome to Tootgarook. You have settled in very well and have diligent work habits.

2J – Mrs Johnstone – Tahlia Oliver – for working hard in all areas, but especially starting so well with our subtraction unit.

3A – Miss Arnold – Emma Dingwell – you are always positive towards learning and giving everything a go. You can tell by your results as you have gone up 4 levels in spelling. Great work Emma. You should be very proud of yourself.

3W – Ms Walton – Harry Taralaikov-Drewett – for the improvement in completing homework and for his spelling growth. Well done Harry!

4S – Miss Staley + Miss McGhee – Chloe Mason - for the outstanding effort you put into your homework. You have not missed one week and take so much pride in each activity. Well done Chloe!

5Q – Miss Quintin – Lilly Gorton – You’ve been working so hard on your script for the RACV Energy Breakthrough Lilly. Keep it up! Well Done!

6W - Miss Withers – Alayha Roy – welcome back to Tootgarook Primary School Alayha. It’s been great to have you back. You’ve been working hard in class. Keep up the great work.

Art / Craft – Miss Davey – Alex Baldwin – 2B – Well done on a great effort in art this week. Your basket weaving was very well executed.

Music - Mrs Young – Grace Roach –6W – you have done extremely well to learn everything for the concert and the Grade 6’s are lucky to have you as you are a wonderful addition to their act. Well done Grace.

Phys Ed – Mr Kitchin – Hannah “Twinkle Toes” McCormack – 1P – for her positive and enthusiastic attitude, good manners and willingness to give everything a go.
