For those of you who are up to speed with Airborn Entertianmentyoursquoll already be well aware who Anthony isFor the rest of you who are reading this and still dont have a clue listen upAnthony is a 1st degree black belt in tradition Korean Martial Art called Kuk Sool Won specialising in formkata cho-reography amp urban tricking Anthony is a very patient teacher and will never give up on a pupil Anthony is also co-director of Airborn Entertainment with there own performance produc-tion crew Airborn is set to host a sec-ond academy in London and may be trying to establish some sort of a gov-erning body for ldquomulti-level-motionrdquo complete with recognised qualifica-tions Over the couple of years that we have known Anthony he has been a really big help to us to get us to were we are today

How old are you Anthony Irsquom 18 but trapped in a 26 year old body To me age is just a given number everyone ages at different rates al-lot of this depends on how well you look after your body

Were is your home townGood old Liverpool fortunate to be home to some of the best free-runner son the planet and very friendly peo-pleif we could only get rib of the chavs

How did you get into PKFRAs much as I love Free-Running Irsquod probably class my-self more of a martial art trickerI like my bro Ryan have a very strong background in martial arts We both joined a traditional Korean Mar-tial Art called Kuk Sool Won (for over a year we thought it was Taekwondo)It was within this rigorous training that we developed clean technique and conditioned our joints and mus-cles it basically taught us how to move without looking clumsy and i would defiantly rate this as one of the best martial art systems in the world After I achieved 1st degree black belt i started taking an interest in acrobatic kicking or tricking as it is now called These moves were not very practical within a traditional martial arts system so I left and began developing my own style with the help of course of Jackie films and episodes of mortal kombat lol This eventually grew to form a class which we know no as Airborn Entertainment but this was still predominantly a martial art systemthink Chinese acrobatic Wushu vs Taekwondo kicking i began taking tricking outside of the safety mats and into the concrete world this was the starting point into Free-Running

I donrsquot train outside as much as Irsquod like to but when your doing this as a living injuries are something you canrsquot afford to let happen especially on concrete

Who has been your inspiration in lifeOne guy I admire above most is Jackie chan Now here is a guy who has really worked hard to earn what he has today If you watch his old stuff its absolute genius and is un-matched even today by the most skilful of peo-ple I once tried to send a fight scene i created in my bedroom to his producerslolI donrsquot know what i was thinking

Have you ever had a bad injuryI broke my thumb diving away from CGI explosion using green screenRyanrsquos fat arse landed on my hand and broke my thumb it was horrible but the footage was ace )

How has this had an impact on your lifeIt has given me a higher level of social and urban freedom and has taught me to look after and respect the most impor-tant instrument I will even ownmy body

What are your hobbiesMartial arts tricking free-running playing my piano play-ing my PS3 drawing anime and a good discussion over a pint is always up there lol

Any advice to NoobsIrsquoll say it againthe best advice everrdquoPERFECTION FROM REPITITION - AGAIN AND AGAIN AND AGAINrdquoThe body is leaning engine

Any favourite movecomboMy favourite move is called the corkscrew kickimagine a cork but finishing it with a strong round house Irsquom a bad arse at this lol

We know your in Airborn but for those who donrsquotI am the co-director of Airborn Entertainment We donrsquot operate so much as a team but more as an agency and spe-cialists in media and productionAirborn was established 4 years agoit was either to be called Airborn Entertainment or Suspended animation We voted Airborn the logo was designed by Ryan and Jean Paul on the back of a napkin in a chip-shop while working on a show in Skegness Airborn was designed as system to replace outdated physical activities this was a perfect op-portunity to create a syllabus and curriculum that could be easily implemented in schools and corresponded to the national curriculum Outside of the education we gathered a strong fan base for creating small action films winning several awards for our Hong Kong action choreography We now operate in partnership with the local education au-thority and Airborn now host the largest free-style academy in the North Westitrsquos not bad when you think it came from a napkin lol

Any advice to noobs to overcome a fear or moveProgression levels weening yourself into more complex moves Perfect a move so you feel completely ready to move on to the next - butterfly progresses to butterfly twist But perfect the butterfly first

Whatrsquos next for AirbornAirborn is set to host a second academy in London and may be trying to establish some sort of a governing body for ldquomulti-level-motionrdquo complete with recognised qualifica-tions

Do you feel that the philosophy and discipline of Parkour are now fading away and a turning into more of a sport rather than a disciplineSadly yes and this is because of its commercial successParkour looks so good in the media but this can kill its pu-rity at the same timeThis was inevitable as people crave success and ultimatelythere is money to be made

Do you thing parkour is still chang-ing and evolvingI donrsquot think Parkour is changing Parkour was intended to be very broad so that people could make Parkour something special to them Since it is so broad you hear many different philosophyrsquos and beliefs so that in itselfs give the illusion of change

Look at my 7D

Have you ever had a bad injurieNothing major like a broken bone but I have sprained my ankle wrist and neck

The next person we Q amp A was Daniel Arroyo and he was very happy to answer what we had to askDaniel Arroyo is quickly becoming emerging as a leader in the global Parkour community This freerunner from Tampa is one of the most chilled out dudes ever his abili-ty in parkourfreerun is beyond wonders Daniel is a athlete for WFPF (world freerun amp park-our federation) and is also a gifted director So much so that he has been editing many of the videos on the Parkourplay-house website After spending some time on the set of MTVrsquos Ultimate Parkour Challenge as a cast member and with the other cast members on a daily basis Arroyo has really stepped up his skills Arroyo also has a gifted eye in photography capturing amazing scenery and emotion in his work

How old are you My name is Daniel Arroyo and I am 23 years young

Where is your home townI have moved around a lot but I would have to say I was raised and still live in Tampa Florida (USA)

How did you get into Parkour-Fre-erunI have always been active in move-ment of all sorts but after I saw Jump London Jump Britain I really got involved in movement

Who has been your inspiration in lifeHavenrsquot really had one particular person as a inspiration Everybody that I encounter through my life ends up inspiring me in some way or another

How has Parkour changed your lifeParkour has done more for me then I could ever have imagined My dad Grandma and Grandfather all died a couple months ago and if it wasnrsquot for Parkour I donrsquot know how I would have gotten through it

What are your hobbiesI like soo many different things I like racing cars chess photography and videography

Best advice for noobiesLearn to move for yourself dont try and impress others just know that you are progressing for yourself and no one else

Do you feel that the philosphy side of Parkour is slipping through competive eventsI feel that more people may be doing it for all fun and less about the mental appreciation As this grows people may forget the philosophical side of move-ment

Thanks for your time Ant

How old are you My name is Daniel Arroyo and I am 23 years young

Where is your home townI have moved around a lot but I would have to say I was raised and still live in Tampa Florida (USA)

How did you get into Parkour-Fre-erunI have always been active in move-ment of all sorts but after I saw Jump London Jump Britain I really got involved in movement

Who has been your inspiration in lifeHavenrsquot really had one particular person as a inspiration Everybody that I encounter through my life ends up inspiring me in some way or another

Thanks Daniel to see Daniel in the MTVrsquos ultimate Parkour challenge visit wwwliverpoolactionningcom

Anthony Doyle wwwairbornentertainmentcouk

Who has been your inspiration in lifeHavenrsquot really had one particular person as a inspiration Everybody that I encounter through my life ends up inspiring me in some way or another

Who has been your inspiration in lifeHavenrsquot really had one particular person as a inspiration Everybody that I encounter through my life ends up inspiring me in some way or another

Do you thing parkour is still chang-ing and evolvingI donrsquot think Parkour is changing Parkour was intended to be very broad so that people could make Parkour something special to them Since it is so broad you hear many different philosophyrsquos and beliefs so that in itselfs give the illusion of change
