Grand Opening in the Gallery of the Instituto Camões, the Portuguese Cultural Centre in Maputo on the 29 September at 18:00pm, the exhibition Project 30, an initiative Mozambican photography via Face-book.This exhibition brings together 30 works of amateur photographers who in 30 days put their pictures on social networking site Facebook.

After the challenge, the rules were simple: to capture an image and publish within 24 hours of the day. There were no restrictions on the device or resolution. Once per week topics were suggested, not mandatory, that photographers could illustrate the most creative and wished . All photos welcome. The slogans were: exchange of experiences and fun.Project 30 was an initiative that broke down barriers between people of different ages and nationalities, of various social groups through a common denominator - a love for photography.The result of this project can be viewed in the gallery of CI-CCP Maputo by 15 October, within the usual time of the exhibition space (from 11:00 am to 19:00 pm, Monday to Saturday).

The U.S. Embassy in Maputo is seeking one individual for the position of Prevention Field Deputy at the Centers for Diseases Control and Prevention (CDC). BASIC FUNCTION OF POSITION

This position will provide technical assistance and guidance to agency implementing partners to improve the quality of a wide range of HIV prevention services including counseling and testing, prevention of mother to child transmission of HIV (PMTCT), biomedical prevention (male circumcision, injection safety), sexually transmitted infection (STI) prevention, positive prevention, and most-at-risk population (MARP) interventions. Job holder will serve as the CDC prevention team focal point for technical assistance to agency partners at pro-vincial and district level, as well as provincial and district governments.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED1. Medical degree - MD or host country equivalent degree in delivery of clinical HIV prevention services (coun-seling and testing, PMTCT, biomedical prevention, positive prevention, and most-at-risk populations) is required2. Five years of mid-to-senior level public health experience in developing, implementing and evaluating HIV prevention services or other relevant public health programs that involve coordination with an international agency or implementing partner is required; including related experience in HIV/AIDS or other medical care, epidemiology, infectious diseases, or similar scientific areas. 3. Level IV (fluency) speaking/reading/writing Portuguese is required. Level IV (fluency) speaking, and writing English is required.4. Comprehensive knowledge of current HIV/AIDS issues and prevention activities is required. 5. Strong oral and written communications skills are required to develop and maintain effective, sustainable working relationships with national and international working partners. Strong leadership skills are required to lead results-driven project teams and workgroups.
