The Centre, on an appeal from the State Government on Tuesday, had deployed three companies of paramilitary forces in Baduria, to bring the situation under control. The violence escalates on Thursday morning after it was reported that the 65- year-old Kartik Chandra Ghosh had succumbed to his injuries. According to his son, Kartik was stabbed a multiple time by the mob on Wednesday. BJP West Bengal Incharge Kailash Vijayvargiya urged Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh to intervene. He informed “Over 2,000 Muslims attacked Hindu families. Bombs went off at many places and information of Hindu sisters and daughters being raped have been received.” According to a sting, carried by Republic TV on a TMC leader & Minority Committee Chairman, Montu Haji, revealed that a fellow party leader let the situation out of control in Baduria. “When the problem started, he was sitting at home, he never came to douse it.
