  1. 1. Is Crafting a Good Way to Make Gold in the Elder Scrolls Online With a little planning, crafting can be a good way of making money in Elder Scrolls Online. Supply and demand plays a key role in Elder Scroll Commerce. As in other MMORPG's, crafting requires certain primary and secondary ingredients, the trick is to learn the re-spawning times and locations. Obviously the longer an item takes to re-spawn,the more valuable it becomes. Another factor affecting commerce is skill; with crafting skills being categorized into professions, supply decreases and demand increases. Which crafting skills are going to be the most beneficial in the long run? That depends on your overall game goals. Do you want to be a high level mage, or a warrior? The former would require some skill in alchemy and enchantments. The latter would require skills in weapon and armor making. Two theories for making money here. Complimentary skill training: The theory behind this is that by training two like crafting skills, you are creating a supply for those who are week in these areas, while also creating your own supplies. Cross Training: cross training works on three different levels, first you can create items for one aspect of your main character, next you can create items that you don't personally need and can sell. Lastly, you can create items geared specifically for people who lack that ability. Another item that will always be in demand is food, high level food items that can heal a lot of hit points, will always be in great demand.
  2. 2. So let's look at the five crafting skills individually; Provisioner; is going to allow you to create food. The advantage to mastering this is being able to sell high level food to warriors preparing for battle. Enchanter; is going to be able to add attributes to items that will increase their value. Weaponssmith; The advantage to mastering this skill is crafting battle ready weapons that will be in demand for their power. Armorsmith; Half the battle is defense, so good armor will be highly sought after and therefore profitable. Alchemist; What is a mage without potions? Potions that can heal disease, restore hit points, and boost stats, will be in great demand with warriors and mages alike, making them very profitable. The final question is to be a master of two professions or a Jack of all trades. With only a limited amount of crafting points, the evidence supports mastering two trades and raking in the profits.
