In the reference read above, the Engineer-in-Chief (Irrigation), Hyderabad has stated that the Dr.BR Ambedkar Pranahitha Chevella Sujala Sravanthi Project was taken up across river Pranahitha near the confluence of river Pranahitha by constructing a Barrage at Tummidihatti(V), Koutala(M), Adilabad District. In order to minimise submergence in neighbouring Maharashtra State and as per the suggestions of the Directorate of Hydrology, Central Water Commission, New Delhi to re-look into the integrated storage planning aspects of the Project, Engineer-in-Chief(Irrigation) in the reference cited had suggested modifications in the storage capacities and has requested for Construction of barrages across Godavari River near Medigadda (V), Mahadevpur (M), Karimnagar (Dist) with redial gates, hoisting arrangements including formation of guide bunds on either side of barrage etc.

2. After careful examination of the proposal, Government hereby accord administrative approval for construction of a Barrage across Godavari river near Medigadda(V), Mahadevpur(M), Karimnagar District with radial Gates hoisting arrangement including formation of guide bunds on either side of the Barrage for an amount of Rs.2,591 crores (Rupees Two Thousand Five Hundred and Ninety One crores only) and make the necessary provision as per the work requirement with an overall plan allocation of the Department in BE 2016-17. This Barrage is an integral part of Kaleshwaram Project of the already sanctioned Dr.BRAPCSS Project.

3. The expenditure shall be debited to the following Head of Account:-

“4700-01- (To be allotted) – 11-26-530/531-530/532”.

3. This order issues with the concurrence of Finance (WP) Department vide their U.O.No.2745/53/WP/A1/2016, Dt.25-02-2016.

This Barrage is an integral part of Kaleshwaram Project of the already sanctioned Dr.BRAPCSS Project. 3. The expenditure shall be debited to the following Head of Account:-
