Nine storey architectural dormitory with a concept that evolves around replacing the central stair core with ramps that revolve around the building and continue through the landscape design. Their positioning as horizontal concrete fins, allow them to act as a brise- soleil which protect the building from direct sunlight exposure. Two main volumes separate the main functions of the complex, the horizontal/ underground is study, lecture, exibition and cafeteria area- common zone. The vertical tower- living zone. One room per level( accomodating 4 students), with two entrances which allow separate access in the social zone and quiet zone of the room. These zones are physically divided using denivelation. The ground floor is the reception area and bookshop, the first floor- accomodation for visitor lecturers, and top floor- social area topped with a green roof garden, overlooking one of the oldest suburbs in Skopje.
