The start of the Potato Famine
• The famine stared in 1845 as the potato leaves stared to turn black and curled, then rotted. THEN IT CAME - THE FAMINE.
Our Beer
• Guinness is Ireland’s traditional drink. It is 250 years old. It was originally made in Dublin and still is brewed in the same location - but the bewery is far bigger today than it was then!
Our Traditional Food
• Irish soda bread, Shepherd's pie, scones and Irish coffee are the most common food in the history of Ireland.
The Revoultion
• By the end of the 1700’s most of Ireland was owned by protestants no catholic people were allowed to be members of the parliament.
F.R Murphy & Vingear Hill
• Farther Murphy fought the English on 26th may 1798. He got hanged by British soldiers on 2 July 1798.
