This revised list contains a proposal to include the stateless vessel, CHOTCHAINAVEE 35, to the IOTC IUU Vessel List. The proposal to list this vessel was received by the IOTC Secretariat on 13 th June 2018, well in advance of the 70 days deadline for receiving proposals for IUU listing In accordance with Paragraph 8 of IOTC Resolution 18/03: On establishing a list of vessels presumed to have carried out illegal, unregulated and unreported fishing in the IOTC Area, please find attached the checklist for each vessel (Annex 1) and the 2019 IOTC Draft IUU Vessels List (Annex 2). In the following link, you will find the IOTC IUU Reporting Forms, the evidence and, where available, responses provided for the vessels included in the draft list: [click here] The fishing vessels, IMULA 0293 KLT, IMULA 0030 GLE, IMULA 0728 KLT and IMULA 0207 GLE, are flagged to Sri Lanka, whereas the vessel, CHOTCHAINAVEE 35, is stateless. REVISION TO THE DRAFT INDIAN OCEAN TUNA COMMISSION IUU VESSELS LIST

Through an error of omission, I wish to provide you with a revised version of the draft IOTC IUU Vessel List for 2019. This revised list contains a proposal to include the stateless vessel, CHOTCHAINAVEE 35, to the IOTC IUU Vessel List. The proposal to list this vessel was received by the IOTC Secretariat on 13th June 2018, well in advance of the 70 days deadline for receiving proposals for IUU listing

In accordance with Paragraph 8 of IOTC Resolution 18/03: On establishing a list of vessels presumed to have carried out illegal, unregulated and unreported fishing in the IOTC Area, please find attached the checklist for each vessel (Annex 1) and the 2019 IOTC Draft IUU Vessels List (Annex 2).

In the following link, you will find the IOTC IUU Reporting Forms, the evidence and, where available, responses provided for the vessels included in the draft list: [click here]

The fishing vessels, IMULA 0293 KLT, IMULA 0030 GLE, IMULA 0728 KLT and IMULA 0207 GLE, are flagged to Sri Lanka, whereas the vessel, CHOTCHAINAVEE 35, is stateless.

I encourage CPCs to refer to the text of IOTC Resolution 18/03 for more details on these matters. Please do not hesitate to contact the IOTC Secretariat should you require further information.
