BAE Systems offers comprehensive medical plans designed to meet the needs of you and your family. Medical coverage is provided through Cigna and prescription drug coverage is provided through CVS Caremark.

TheAdvantageHealthmedicalplanemphasizeswellnessandprevention–doingthingstopreventhealthproblemsratherthanjusttreatingthemwhentheyoccur.Bybecominganeducatedhealthcareconsumerandtakingchargeofyourhealth,youcanreduceyourcostsformedicalservicesandimproveyourqualityoflife,nowanddowntheroad.

AlthoughAdvantageHealthhasalargerdeductiblethatmustbemetbeforebenefitsarepaid,thelowerplanpremiumcostshelpoffsetthelargerdeductible.Employeesareencouragedtosavethedifferenceinatax-advantagedHSAthatcangrowovertimelikea401(k)account.*

AdvantageHealthisaqualifiedhigh-deductiblehealthplanpairedwithaHealthSavingsAccount(HSA)thathelpsyousaveandpayforhealthcareexpensesnowandinthefuture.IfyouenrollforanycoveragelevelotherthanEmployeeOnlycoverage,thefamilydeductiblemustbemetbeforebenefitsarepaidforanyindividualfamilymember.

Youandyourcoveredspousecaneachearnupto$500inWellnessIncentivesinyourHSAtospendoneligiblehealthcareexpenses.Youearnincentivesbyparticipatinginwellnessactivitiesdesignedtohelpyouandyourspousemaintainandimproveyourhealth.Seepage8fordetails.

1. Annual deductible

Thisistheamountofeligiblemedicalandprescriptiondrugexpensesyoumustpayeachyearbeforetheplanbeginstopayapercentageofthoseexpenses.

Note:Ifyouenrollyourspouseorchildren,thefamilydeductiblemustbemetbeforebenefitsarepaidforanyindividualfamilymember.

2. CoinsuranceOnceyourdeductibleismet,youandtheplansharethecostofeligibleexpenses.AdvantageHealthwillcover80%ofyoureligiblein-networkexpenses,andyoupay20%.

3. Out-of-pocket maximum

Youreligiblein-networkmedicalandprescriptiondrugexpensescounttowardyourout-of-pocketmaximum.Thisisthemaximumyouwillpayduringtheyear,includingyourdeductibleandcoinsurance.Oncereached,theplanpays100%ofeligiblemedicalandprescriptiondrugexpensesfortherestoftheyear.

The money in your HSA is always yours

IfyouhaveanHSA,besuretodownloadtheYSAReimburseMemobileappontoyourmobiledevice.TheReimburseMeappmakesiteasytoaccess,view,andmanageyouraccountfromanywhere.

Afterreceivingmedicalservices,youwillreceiveanExplanationofBenefitsfromCignashowingyourshareoftheprovider’sbill.YoucanuseyourdebitcardtomakeapaymentdirectlyfromyourHSAtotheprovider.

Restrictions on Flexible SpendingAccounts (FSAs)

YoucanparticipateinaLimitedPurposeHealthCareFSAwhilecontributingtoanHSA.ALimitedPurposeFSAcanbeusedtopayonlydentalandvisionexpenses–notmedicalexpenses.

Medicare and TRICARE

IfyouareeligibleorenrolledinMedicareorenrolledinTRICARE,youarenoteligibletocontributetoanHSA.However,youmayhaveotheroptions.ContacttheBenefitCenterformoredetailsat888.900.4223.

Qualified expenses

MakesureyouuseyourHSAonlyforqualifiedexpenses.Youcanfindacompletelistofqualifiedexpensesatwww.irs.gov/publications/p502.IfyouuseyourHSAtopaynonqualifiedexpenses,you’llpaytaxesplusanadditional20%penaltyifyou’reunderage65.

Withdrawals after age 65

Afteryoureachage65orbecomeentitledtoMedicareduetodisability,youmaywithdrawmoneyfromyourHSAfor“nonmedicalpurposes.”Thesewithdrawalswillbesubjecttonormalincometaxes.
