The firm was renamed UKCA Law Chambers in the late 90s and Dr. U. K. Chaudhary had

Manisha is the Managing Partner at UKCA and brings to the firm an extensive view of Corporate Laws from the biggest players around the world. She has the experience of working with some of the top lawyers and law firms of the country prior to joining UKCA. While at Cornell, she was under the guidance of the top lawyers and management professionals from New York City thus gaining tremendous insight on the corporate and legal culture in America.

Her forte lies in the field of Corporate Law Litigation and Consultancy, Negotiations, Corporate Restructuring (M&A), Private Equity and Commercial Transactions. She has also been handling matters relating to Capital and Financial Markets Regulations before various authorities and is developing a niche practice in Competition Law. N. Raja Singh is a senior partner at UKCA, and heads the Banking, Commercial & Corporate Litigations practices, as well as the domestic and international Arbitration practice of the firm.

Raja has vast experience in civil, banking, alternative dispute resolution (ADR), writs, mortgage laws, real estate laws, competition and general corporate laws. Over the last decade of his expansive litigation practice, he has handled and has been involved in significant high-profile cases. He has been working closely with a number of private clients, stock exchanges, MNCs and advising them on day-to-day legal hurdles arising out of regulations, rules, byelaws and regulatory laws.

Under his guidance, the firm has dealt with several landmark cases arising out of derivative transactions before various forums and courts and is handling matters of national importance before the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India. He has advised clients on a number of high-profile competition law (anti-trust) investigations, legal challenges brought against the provisions of Securitisation Act, Insolvency and Bankruptcy Laws and various Civil Laws.

In ADR sphere, Raja has represented over a dozen underwriters all over India, in one of the largest arbitral proceedings relating to IPO’s disputes, which was eventually settled between the parties. Raja is also handling high stake infrastructure arbitrations resulting in positive awards for the firm’s clients. In international arbitration, Raja has secured favourable awards for clients before the CIETAC, SIAC etc.

He is on panel with the Delhi Nagrik Sehkari Bank Limited and has also been appointed time and again as an Alternate Chairperson for the court convened meeting for mergers by the Hon’ble High Court of Delhi and also as Local Commissioner and Auctioneer by the Learned Debt Recovery Tribunal, Delhi. He also liaisons in good faith, with the officers at the Competition Commission of India (CCI) and its appellate authority.
