Self-directed offline activity: Use the ACSF

1. Open the ‘mini’ unit of competency emailed to you: Produce concept drawings (nominal AQF level 4).

2. Review the unit, including performance evidence (p2 of unit).

3. List the core skills that you believe would be essential to performance in this unit (in the left column of the ‘foundation skills’ section of the unit).

4. Consult the ACSF to determine the skill level of the core skills that you have listed (remembering the ‘Sample Activities’ section can also help you with this).

5. Identify a critical focus area for each core skill, and record (in the right column of the ‘foundation skills’ section of the unit) one performance feature for that focus area at the level you decided in point 4 above.

6. Remember to make a note of questions or observations you would like to raise in the next part of this webinar.
