Introduction Bench work is a term used to describe any type of labor or work that is managed using a workbench rather than with the use of heavy machinery in a plant setting or in a larger area. The term is also sometimes used to refer to the structures that support finished projects such as model train sets that are set up on a more or less permanent basis. With all applications, the idea is that the labor is completed at a stationary setting rather than relying on machinery to do the job. In terms of the creation of goods, there are several different examples of bench work. Carpentry bench work involves the crafting of different types of furniture or frames for upholstered furniture pieces. Here, the idea behind the bench work furniture creation is to carefully craft each component by hand, with some pieces built and assembled entirely on the workbench. At other times, the individual pieces are hand crafted as part of the bench work and assembled at another site. As it relates to creating permanent displays for working train model sets, bench work often involves the task of what is known as track planning. This simply means that the top area of the bench or frame that will support the train set is laid out in terms of where the tracks will be placed and what the surrounding landscape for the presentation will be. In this scenario, the goal is to make sure the benchwork is strong enough to support the presentation for an extended period of time, and that the underside of the supporting structure is accessible, making it possible to install and repair any type of electrical wiring or circuitry that is necessary to the operation of the model trains. This is true whether the train is set up at home as part of a hobby, or if the train is on permanent display at a museum or some other public venue.

Introduction

Bench work is a term used to describe any type of labor or work that is managed using a workbench rather than with the use of heavy machinery in a plant setting or in a larger area.

Drilling is easily the most common machining process. One estimate is that 75% of all metal-cutting material removed comes from drilling operations. Drilling involves the creation of holes that are right circular cylinders. This is accomplished most typically by using a twist drill

The earliest drills were bow drills date back to the ancient Harappans and Egyptians. The drill press as a machine tool evolved from the bow drill and is many centuries old. It was powered by various power sources over the centuries, such as human effort, water wheels, and windmills, often with the use of belts. With the coming of the electric motor in the late 19th century, there was a great rush to power machine tools with such motors, and drills were among them. The invention of the first electric drill is credited to Mr. Arthur James Arnot and William Blanch Brain , in 1889, at Melbourne, Australia. Wilhelm Fein invented the portable electric drill in 1895, at Stuttgart, Germany. In 1917, Black & Decker patented a trigger-like switch mounted on a pistol-grip handle.

This machine is needed to mark on the end of components of dresses especially for setting, pocket, dart and so on.

This subject can help to be a machinist someday. Here, I’ve learned all the works as a machinist. I’ve learned about the different tools and there functions that a machinist should know. It also taught me to how to be responsible on keeping my tools properly. Bench work is such as an important thing that molds us to be a good machinist.

Conclusion

I therefore conclude that this subject can help to be a machinist someday. Here, I’ve learned all the works as a machinist. I’ve learned about the different tools and there functions that a machinist should know. It also taught me to how to be responsible on keeping my tools properly. Bench work is such as an important thing that molds us to be a good machinist.
