health. Gastroenterology as the
branch of science and medicine has
d e v e l o p e d f o l l o w i n g t h e

multimodal examination procedure.
Here, science about probiotics and
prebiotics, both in translational
research and clinical practice has
contributed a considerable portion
of that advance in gastroenterology.
Hence, updates about probiotics and
prebiotics science are needed to face
these global advancements.
