As you know, this September took place in Barcelona, the 7th European Biennialof Landscape with various events among which the

INTERNATIONAL EXHIBITION OF LANDSCAPEDESIGN WORKS FROM DIFFERENTARCHITECTURE AND LANDSCAPE SCHOOLS.

This exhibition is a selection of projects which were developed during the last twoyears, showing landscape research and design education all around the world.Projects selected have a special focus on landscape on its most general definition,from ecology to urban spaces.

Such selection was the centre of an exhibition celebrated in the ETSAB -Escola Tècnica Superior d’Arquitectura de Barcelona- and in the COAC -Association of Architects of Catalonia -, from 27 th September till 11 October 2012.

The 1st Award of this edition was given to

RMIT University of Melbourne. School of Architecture and Design,Melbourne, AustraliaFor the diversity and precision in the approach of multiscale strategies, and promotingcreativity and innovation in finding new landscape languages.

Also, the jury awarded a special mention to the

Amsterdam School of the Arts. Academy of Architecture,Amsterdam, Netherlandsin recognition of:- the clarity and commitment of the proposals towards territorial systems, - and the creativity in the proposals of interaction between human activity and territory.
