Citation preview
The International Economic Summit (IES) is a hands-on, problem based project whose global scope touches on
solving the problems of each country’s infrastructure, health and education.
The goal of this project is to enhance the students respect for that which is different and awareness of
globalization upon the economy, foods, cultural beliefs, language, music.
The IES is an excellent program that can be used at any high school grade level across the curriculum, it offers
incisive knowledge of daily life, specifying health care, infrastructure and education. The IES not only offers general
global knowledge but it affords the student the research powers to go into any given point in depth (i.e. health care,
education and infrastructure). It brings an informed knowledge of various ethnic communities which instills a respect
and understanding for the global differences between ethnic and racial groups.
