About the College
Panampilly Memorial Government College,Chalakudy was established in 1975, it is whollyowned and managed by the Government ofKerala. It marked the fulfilment of a longcherished aspiration of the people of this semi-urban highland geographical entity. Now theCollege offers five UG and PG programmes. Thecollege is situated at Potta, 6 Km away fromChalakudy town. It is named after the latePanampilly Govinda Menon, an illustrious son ofKerala.
Department at a Glance
The Department of Mathematics started its func-tioning in 1998. In 2012, Department upgraded
with PG in Mathematics. Currently, the Depart-ment offers graduate and post-graduate courses.The department frequently conducts nationallevel seminars/ workshops. From August 2016onwards the Department organizes a monthlylecture series MATHLET (Mathematical AnalysisThrough Hearty Lectures by Eminent Teachers)for PG students.
About IMRT
The Institute of Mathematics Research andTraining (IMRT) was established in 2015 underthe leadership of Dr. K. S. S. Nambooripad(Former Professor and Head, Department ofMathematics, University of Kerala, Thiruvanan-thapuram). IMRT is aimed at encouraging andpromoting facilities for fundamental research inthe various branches of Mathematical Sciencesincluding Pure Mathematics, Applied Mthemat-ics, Statistics, Computer Sciences, InformationTechnology, Theoretical Physics and other relatedsciences. About the Conference
Algebra is one among the major areas inMathematics where significant contributionshave been made from India. It is one of thefoundational areas in Mathematics and is studiedin the context of various applications. The focusof ICART–2019 is providing an introduction tovarious new and emerging areas of research inAlgebra and related topics. ICART–2019 intendsto bring prominent senior speakers, and is gearedprimarily towards young researchers, teachersand postgraduate students as well as M.Philstudents. The talks are mainly focussed to givefoundations for PG students and budding newresearchers. The current trends in internationalcentres of research will be discussed at the two
day conference. We hope this Conference willhave a blend between formal presentations andsomewhat less formal sessions that are more alongthe lines of “workshops”for young researchers andstudents. The aim of the Conference is to elutesuggestions for research development for aspiringresearchers. The Conference will be a platformfor researchers from India and abroad to cometogether and exchange views and ideas on thetopics of discussion, foster future collaborationsand provide opportunity to young researchers inthe relevant fields.
Thrust areas of the Conference
Theory of semigroups, Algebras, Rings andSemirings, Group Theory, Categories andGroupoids, Operator Semigroups, Theory ofLanguages and Automata, Applications.
Registration
Registration for the conference is mandatory.There is no registration fee. Those who wishto participate and present a paper in the confer-ence are advised to register themselves throughwebsite of the conference (sites.google.com/site/icart2019math/) and upload the abstract of theirpaper through the easychair submission systemlatest by November 20, 2019. The list of selectedparticipants will be published in the website.
The Department will provide course kit, lunch, tea& snacks to the participants.
