26. PROSPECTS FOR 2017

The Banking sector outlook is expected to remain challenging, reflected by the tougher operating environment and higher risk.

Credit growth is expected to slowdown with household debt risen strongly which would lead to an asset quality problem and a

rise in unemployment and interest rate.

Nevertheless the Bank is geared to face the challengers and to grow the business selectively and continue to strengthen its

governence.

For the financial period ended 30 September 2017, the Group and Bank recorded a pre tax profit of RM6.4 million as compared

to a pre tax loss of RM2.2 million in the preceding year’s corresponding period.
