Integrated Circuit (IC) • What is an IC ? • It is a miniaturized circuit that contains a number of resistors, capacitors, diodes, and
transistors stuffed together on a single chip of silicon no bigger than your fingernail.
• The number of components within an IC may vary from just a few to hundreds
of thousands in number.

Integrated Circuit (IC) Type of IC:
• IC‟s come in either analog, digital, or analog/digital form.
• Analog (or linear) IC‟s produce, amplify, or respond to varying
voltages.
Ex: voltage regulators, op-amp, timers, oscillators, etc
• Digital (or logic) IC‟s respond to or produce signals having only
high and low voltage states
-binary numbering system (1 and 0)
Ex: logic gates, flip-flops, memories, processors, etc.
• Analog/digital (mixed) IC‟s share properties common with both
analog and digital IC‟s.
Ex: ADC, DAC.

•This is the basic concept underlying digital computing
•Three major-logic gates type are:
1. “AND” gate
2.“OR” gate
3.“NOT” gate
•Others type of logic gates are derived from the combination of
those three of major gates, ex: “NAND”, “Negative-AND”,
“XOR”, etc.

• Merupakan rangkaian digital yang dapat menghitung jumlah suatu cacahan (misal:
jumlah pengunjung, jumlah produk, dsb)
• Output hasil cacahan yang dihitung berupa 4 bit data dalam bilangan biner.
