Intake and Exhaust – July 2012 CVCC President’s Corner July 2012 Our club members have been quite busy this spring attending cruises, the Lime Rock driving school, multiple car shows, and Patriotic Parades in New Milford and New Fairfield. At the same time we have been preparing for the WWW event at Danbury Airport on Sunday, July 15th. All of these cannot happen without planning and an enthusiastic membership. I still believe that a successful car club is one that is multi-faceted to address the interests of a diverse group of people. Please include Linda O’s brunch drives, Neil P’s Sunday morning ventures as well as the competition committee, volunteerism to help a club member in need-Nick and Jimmy V., as well as all who have promoted our WWW program. Our sponsor-Maritime Chevrolet has stepped up to the plate with radio ads to promote the club and the Airport Jamboree. All in all we are accelerating towards a car/airplane show to raise money for our wounded warriors and to help their families. Do you feel the energy? This is good for Danbury and we are proud to help. The best part has been the volunteerism of the membership .To you from me-Thank You All and God Bless You for your work. Kirk Narick and Bryan Gettler have worked tirelessly to make the WWW a success from the start. With about 5 days to go there are 63 registered aircraft and 85 cars pre-registered. Mike Barrett has designed and will implement a parking plan that is both safe and effective for all. Many thanks to Mike Safranek, airport administrator for his help and guidance. Danbury Police and Fire and EMT divisions will be situated to respond immediately if the need arises. Santo Silvestro at the Business Aircraft Center has put in many hours with his team to make this show a success. Activities Calendar News The club is planning a busy 2012 with activities penciled in for every month.

Below is a look at the tentative schedule. If there are other events you would like to see added please contact one of our officers or bring up the subject at one of the meetings. This is your club and we want to be sure we are planning activities that are of interest to our members. As in years past we will hold our executive meeting on the first Thursday of each month and the general membership meeting on the third Thursday of every month. Everyone is encouraged to attend these

meetings.

Our club is hosting the next Australian national Corvette convention and I want to display the board at the convention to show people how big the Corvette following is.
