Instructions to make one cup of hot chocolate.
YOU WILL NEED:
•4 spoons of hot chocolate powder
•1 spoon of sugar
•50mls of milk
•50mls of hot water.
•1 big cup and a sprinkle of cocoa powder.
Your Friend pops in as you are making the hot chocolate so you make 2 cups………… what do we need now?

Guess what? the door bell rings – 5 people now want Hot chocolate. How can we work this one out ? What do we need to make 5 cups?
5 x 4 spoons of Hot chocolate powder
5 x 1 spoon of sugar
5 x 50mls of milk
5 x 50mls of hot water
5 x 1 cup and 5 sprinkles of cocoa powder.

So lets look at this math problem…….
We know to make 1 cup of hot chocolate you need: 4 spoons of hot chocolate powder
1 spoon of sugar
50mls of milk
50mls of hot water.
1 big cup and a sprinkle of cocoa powder.
We now need 5 cups of chocolate.
What operation do we need to use then to work out this math problem?
