    1. You must commit to throw to uncovered receivers every time. The bubble concept

and play action bubble are great ways to do this. You must do whatever it takes to

make the linebackers play head up on your slots receivers. Dont allow the

linebackers to be double edge players.

    2. The line must take reasonable splits and be in a line but off the ball as far as the rules

allow.3. You must work on the blitz everyday. You must have answers for the blitz, i.e.

Screens, Q Receiver, Quick Game, etc.

    4. You must throw screens 7-10 times game. Within these plays you must have multiple

screens and plays working off screen actions.

    5. Throw the ball short to your playmakers, understanding 50% of the yardage comes

    after the catch.

    6. Keep run game and protections schemes simple for the Linemen, so they have more

    time to work on fundamentals.

    7. Quarterbacks must be drilled to never pass up an open receiver hoping something

    else may come open.

    8. You must be willing to move the pocket, with a semi roll package or sprint out. This

changes rush lanes and gives the QB a new launching point, while allowing you to use

    a 6 man protection

    9. Run game must be simple but versatile enough to attack both inside and outside.

You must have simple schemes that can be run from multiple formations.

    10. As the defense becomes more complex, you must become simpler in your schemes.

Dont over coach the QB with what ifs.

    11. Work on the shotgun snaps every day before and after practice. As well in the off-

season. This should be a focal point of the Centers off season program.

    12. Receivers must be taught to find open area while developing eye contact with the

Quarterback. They must understand sandboxes on the field, and not to play in

    sandboxes of other receivers.

    Lineman

    1. Alignment- should be off the LOS as far as rules allow.

    2. Take reasonable big splits. Widens the defensive front and increases the distance to the QB.

    3. Tackles stay up on the LOS. Dont bow the line. It gives the DE a two way go. Make him go wide

    Slots

    1. Alignment so that the defender is forced to play run or pass but not both.

    2. Know what WR is running and align so you can help

    WRs

    1. See the ball snapped with the inside foot forward.

    2. Align so you have room to work the sideline.

    3. Know the Slots assignments so you can work together.

    4. Dont over split so QB cant get you the ball.

    QBs

    Align 4 yards deep

    RB

Align 5 yards deep, splitting the inside leg of the tackle

    1. ATTACK: We will play a fast break, up-tempo attack. We will force each

opponent to react and adjust to our offense.

    2. GATA: We will GET AFTERTHEIR ASS This is the cornerstone

    principle of Platteville Football.

    3. ELIMINATION OF SIWs (Self Inflicted Wounds) : Its tough enough tobeat your opponent. TURNOVER RATIO is the number one factor in

winning and losing college football games.

    4. SCORE: The object of our offense is to score. We will score first, fast, and

we will finish the fourth quarter. We will maximize the Red Zone and we

will take advantage of every turnover that our defense creates by scoring

    points.

    5. TEAM: Foremost, we must become a true team. On and off the field, we

act as one, united as a whole group, where together we can accomplish

    greatness.
