THE ROLE OF THE PAT
THE aim of our pastoral programme is to ‘ensure that each individual realises their full potential'
The Personal ACHIEVEMENT Tutor will support students when they first arrive and monitor progress throughout their time at college. They are your first point of contact to turn to for help and advice if a student has a problem and also the first point of contact for parents.
The PAT will support students in all aspects of college life including:
Guidance in studies
Help with study skills
Advice regarding possible career progression and application to Higher Education
Arrange any extra help or support needed during your learning
PROGRESS INTERVIEWSMONITORING PROGRESS
Students will have two dedicated one to one interviews with their PAT to check progress
We operate an ‘Open Door Policy’
There is also a fortnightly tutorial programme where students cover statutory topics including: Prevent, British Values, Careers & Work Experience, UCAS, MH and Drugs & Alcohol Awareness
We also have a student mentoring scheme to help settle students into college. Please contact the Personal Achievement Tutor for more information
If a student is unwell, please contact our reception on the first day of absence and leave a message Students reporting feeling unwell
during college should complete a sickness form available at student services and see a member of staff Some absences can be
