There is a range of DIN rail terminals withhigher d.c. voltage ratings up to 1000V tomeet the specific requirements of thisindustry. They are available in both screw

The new European directive 2006/42/ECwill place new requirements on machinebuilders in many areas.

The new pressure sensors type P3375 fromTecsis fulfil SIL-2 according to IEC 61508and Category 3, Performance Level d,according to ISO 13849-1. Therefore theycan be used for mobile hydraulicsapplications to meet the requirements of thisnew directive. Internal redundancy of thepressure measurement and twoindependent outputs sent to an on-boardprocessor are used to monitor the integrityof the system. Level headed doubledeck terminal

Most double deck terminals have aninherent problem! Once the top deckcable is installed it obstructs the bottomlevel actuation screw. This makes itdifficult to access the screw withoutremoving the top level cable again orrisk damaging it!

Contaclip have solved this problem with theRKDG4 double deck terminal. This cleverdesign has all the actuation screws on thesame level and this guarantees easy accessto all of the screws even when fully wired.This can also help reduce the possibility ofleaving the bottom screws loose as with astandard ‘Top Hat’ style double deck terminal.

Redundancy modules utilisemosfets instead of diodes


The latest addition to the Puls Dimension range is two new decoupling modules thatcan be used to build redundant power systems. Ideal for critical applications, themodules allow two or more identical power supplies connected in parallel to providecontinued operation following the failure of any one unit.

The unique feature of these units is the useof mosfets instead of diodes for decouplingthe two input channels. This reduces thepower losses and therefore the heatgeneration allowing the units to bepackaged in smaller housings saving

valuable DIN rail space. For the first timejust one redundancy module is nowrequired to build a 40A redundant system.The units are the same style as the rest ofthe Dimension range and have large screwterminals for a safe and fast installation.

The PT Compact USB is a new model ofthe PT Compact product line fromTecsis GmbH.
