Measuring Insertion Loss (IL) and Return Loss (RL) on multiple fibers can be challenging; the connectors may be difficult to clean, high quality reference cables may be hard to get and the measurement step requires fiber management and organizational skills beyond belief.
With the OPSeries Multifiber Test Systems, tailored solutions measure the necessary parameters on Multifiber cables such as MTP/MPO Cables, Fanouts, Multi-termini Connectors, and even Duplex or Simplex Cables.

Discontinuity Analyzer
Remote Head Detectors Intergrating Sphere
The OP1100 Discontinuity Analyzer is an off-the-shelf fiber optic test system that automatically captures, displays and logs short optical power interruptions and spikes in accordance with EIA/TIA-FOTP-32A.
This test solution provides a method for testing a broad variety of passive or active fiber optic components for susceptibility to discontinuities (signal dropout, transient output or transmittance fluctuations) during application of an external stimulus, such as temperature, vibration or physical shock.

Launch Condition Analyzer System / Encircled Flux
Measurements for Encircled FluxThe Launch Condition Analyzer characterizes connectors, fiber components and provides graphs illustrating how light exits the fiber. The analyses ensure conformity to industry standards.
Nearfield Analyzer The Nearfield (NF) describes the optical power density on the surface of a radiating source or the end of a fiber. The nearfield measurement can determine the refractive index profile of multimode fibers and the fiber’s mode filling, launch condition, and Encircled Flux (per TIA).
Farfield AnalyzerThe Farfield (FF) measurement is the optical power density of a source or fiber end on a surface measured at a radial distance. The farfield measurement can determine the numerical aperture of sources and fibers.
