Swedish quality

The chassis made of high tensile steel (DOMEX® Swedish steel) consists of U-shaped beams with riveted cross-members. This technology derived from industrial vehicles offers lightness and fl exibility.HARDI-EVRARD was granted the 2nd place at the Swedish Steel Prize 2005 for the modern assembling technology. Designed to overcome the limitations associated with high speeds on the road as in the fi eld, this chassis achieves the maximum working comfort.

The position of the main components components (engine, main tank, rinsing tank, reservoirs, pump etc.) has been specially stud-ied to optimise the weight distribution between the front and rear axles which guarantees the best driveability and preserves the soil structure. All the variable loads are situated at the centre of the machine.

Maintenance Free Mechanical Suspension designed by HARDI-EVRARDThe coil sprung chassis is mechanical and maintenance free. Simplicity and reliability are maintained with HARDI-EVRARD suspension principle which offers a very natural and optimal movement over obstacles.

The front wheels are independently sprung by helical springs withbuilt in oleo-pnuematic shock absorbers are fi tted parallel to the beams. At rear an helical spring with oleo pneumatic shock absor-ber is built-in at the centre of the chassis.

Due to its anti-roll design the rear axle movements do not disrupt the stability of the boom. Chassis and boom stay parallel to the ground.

Easy access to the cab plat-form is made via the wide front facing ladder which automatically raises when the transmission is engaged.

Access to the cab through the large sliding door allows easy access with no risk of contamination from the boom.

EasyDrive coordinates the different components of the ALPHA transmission.EasyDrive optimises the global capacities of the transmission (speed/torque, progressive acceleration and braking, going through the gears under load) and establishes a new standard in terms of ease, safety and driving comfort.

Deutz engineThe ALPHA VariTrack are fi tted with Deutz engines meeting the current anti-pollution standards. The range offers 2 engines turbo charged common rail, water cooled, 4 cylinders 140 hp and � cylinders 190 hp. The fan driving by viscocoupler reduces signi-fi cantly the noise level in the cab. High diesel tank capacity (2�0 litres).

Easy maintenanceThe opening of the two bonnets (upper and lower ones) respecti-vely by tipping up and sliding makes the access easy for the self-propelled sprayer maintenance.

Hydrostatic transmission Easy Drive by SAUER pump electrically controlled and 4 POCLAIN dual displacement wheel motors.

4 wheel drive and steeringWith permanent 4 wheel drive, the ALPHA can be driven in 2 or 4 wheel steering. A foot pedal activates the "4 wheel steering" function.The alignment of rear wheels is automatic.

VariTrackVariTrack - a revolution for track management

The VariTrack device allows easy adjustments with non-stop infi nite track width adjustment of 45cm from the narrowest to the widest required track width.

There is no additional adjustment to be made as the wheel track alignment is maintained by a mechanical link. Without risk of wear or excess play as all pivots have ball and socket joints at each articulation, the VariTrack is a guarantee of security and reliability .

This innovation, which received a Silver medal as awarded at SIMA 2005, increases considerably the self propelled design as it allows quick and easy adjustment for variable row crops, but can be used to vary the width of the machine for high speed transport on the road in complete safty

As standard this adjustment is made mechani-cally from manually adjustable tie-rods. This track adjustment is much more rapid and safe than sys-tems such as sliding axles.

The option "hy-draulic adjustable track" allows to adjust non-stop the self propelled track width from an electrical box in cab.

With the axle suspension you can comfortably drive at 40 km/h on the road

The 40 km/h option allows you to increase the number of spraying hours and decrease the costs per hectare.

In order to meet legislation at specific markets regarding the driving width at 40 km/h on road, a device has been developed to bring the boom closer to the cab in transport position. Please refer to your local legislation.

The driving width never exceeds 2.55 m.

In parking position, the left boom arm moves out for free access to the cab.

This option includes a bigger variable flow SAUER hydraulic pump and POCLAIN DYNA + hydraulic wheel motors at front.

For optimal safety, the ALPHA with 40 km/h are equipped with dynamical braking on the front axle controlled by a foot pedal in the cab.

Optimized comfort

The cab has been developed with operator comfort the priority. The driving position offers excellent visibility, space and quietness

The main controls are placed at the right hand side of the driving seat, grouped by function and harmoniously integrated into the console.

The multifunction joystick, which controls the hydrostatic drive, allows:• For forward and reverse movement• The control of the spraying (main on/off and sections on/off)• The control of the boom hydraulic functions (height, slant, tilt).

The design and positioning of the cab give an optimal front and side visibility, on road as in the fi eld.As standard, the cab is fi tted with tinted glass, heating with active carbon fi lters, air conditioning, adjustable driving wheel and air sus-pended seat.

For working at night, the controls are backlit.A sun visor, storage pockets and a radio pre-equipment are fi tted as standard in the cab.

The CycloneFilter at the pressure side is a unique self-cleaning fi lter that uses a high speed cyclone for additional cleaning action.

The Cyclone action increases the cleaning capacity of the fi lter signifi cantly.

The CycloneFilter further-more has a unique boost function that allows the fi lter to be fl ushed when needed.

EasyClean fi lterThe ALPHA fi lter system consists of the exclusive HARDI EasyClean fi lter and CycloneFilter.

The EasyClean fi lter is a high capacity suc-tion fi lter.

The condition of the fi lter can be constantly monitored on an external gauge. This ensu-res that the fi lter is cleaned when needed and only when needed. When cleaning the fi l-ter, all you have to do is to twist the lid 90°.

LookAheadThe HARDI LookAhead pressure control greatly improves the speed of the regulation system, ensuring perfect application under all conditions.

Boom strength and stability

The adjustment of boom height is done by means of a parallelogram controlled by two rams working in traction.

All axles are bushed and equipped with a lubricator.

In transport position, the parallelogram is auto-matically locked ensuring safety and long life.

The boom has coil spring pendulum suspension with hydraulic damping.

The centre frame is fi tted with an anti-yaw device and a damping device to avoid the boom movements.

The parallelogram main frame has been designed to allow higher driving speeds.

ALPHA VariTrack available with Pommier aluminium booms from 24 to 32 m.Pommier aluminium booms are constructed of 4 round tubes in a three-dimensional trellis structure. The profi les have internal ribs which reinforce the boom strength while keeping an incomparable resistance to corrosion.The aluminium booms are equipped with PENTANOZZLES.For night working a boom lighting kit is available as an option.

The ALPHA is available with a wide range of booms. All the booms have the unique HARDI suspension system that will dampen all possible impacts in fi eld and road use.TRIPLET nozzle holders with well-proven HARDI nozzles are standard on DELTA and TWIN FORCE booms.

The HARDI TWIN booms offer the ulti-mate in capacity, weather independence and application technology. The ideal high capacity solution for users. The TWIN FORCE is available in sizes from 1� to 2� metres.

Les COLOR TIPS (CT) sontrecommandées sur les pul-vérisateurs HARDI équipésde porte-buses pour écrousbaïonnette pour leur sécuritéet leur facilité d’utilisation.Les buses INJET et MINI-DRIFT nécessitent un écrounoir 334083.

Sur les pulvérisateurs équi-pés de porte-buses TeeJetou similaires, utilisez lesbuses simples (S) avecl’écrou noir 334862. Lesbuses INJET et MINIDRIFTnécessitent le même écrou,plus un joint 242222.
