Innovation and vision the secret to green success. The 2013 Green Awards attracted 500 attendees to celebrate the achievements of more than 100 finalists from business, the community, education and the public sector. Judges said that this year’s awards had set new standards in implementation of sustainability with examples of best-practice across building, innovation, business processes, public sector, collaboration, energy, entrepreneurship, water and waste. Speaking at the awards, the Minister for Environment, Community & Local Government Phil Hogan said: “All of the nominees for this evening’s awards are to be commended for making environmental protection and sustainability central to their activities. Concern for the environment must go hand in hand with activities across all sectors.
