DATA
Lux Research 2016
Global demand for plant-proteins set to double by
2024. Estimated to to grow just under a billion metric
tonnes by 2054.
Oat, Pea and Soya are dominant plant-protein sources.
Lupin, Chickpea, Fava Bean, Flax Seed, Cottonseed,
Hemp Seed have high potential.
We see:
Big differences in quality of ingredient and process - but
does the average UK consumer know this?
Many gaps in market not yet filled. Does the UK have a
“Heston Blumenthal” or “Tesco Finest” meat alternative yet?
What would that look and taste like?
Entrepreneurs, Business Leaders, Product Developers,
Chefs, Marketeers: Innovate and change consumer
perception through great tasting food, nutrition and
communication.
