Team to Field Against Old Foe in Rutherford
Injured In A ction F a th e r And Son
T o W e d
Lyndhurst's Golden Bears begin another year on th¡r,gridiron Satu rday when they lum ber in to Rutherford to meet the B ig Blue team from that borough.
The gam e w ill see two inexperienced teams come to grips. Both have been badly hurt by graduation and losses to the A rm y and Navy.
However, at Lyndhurst, there it a quiet feeling that this year may be different and that the young but heavy boys w ill come through.
Rupert Page, still batting for M ike Mvirburg, on leave in the Navy, haii worked out for three week* w ith the youngsters. He is satisfied the y are greener, if heavier, and peppier than any of the teams of recent history.
TWO LK T TER M EN B A C KHe had just three of last year's
letter men w ith whom to work when he started. Now he has two. Grimm, the husky guard, hurt himself and w ill be out of action. But Zupowch, at tackle, and Zopola, at center, the other letter men, are still available.
The team suffered another blow when Pete Canacci was injured. He is out for the season Canacci had been counted on to bear the brunt of the ball carrying.
The backfield w ill line up w ith Pete, Brant, Brady and Berna- diño. Pelo and Bernardino are juniors, and the other two sophs.
Other backfield candidates are loaeo, Sailer, Carberry and Lem- bo.
A t the ends w ill be K err and DCCarln, W ith Lem iso and M atthews in reserve A t tackle w ill he Zupinski and Giaquinto w ith PSppon, Mastandrea and Dick Burke, »on of Principal Burke, it» «nerve.
Guards w ill be Fu ller and A IM S » , wKH-apM i and Duffy as replacements. Eopols and De Vineo w ill «hare the center job.
